We tried this restaurant for the very first time, last night. We were greeted at the door by a very pleasant hostess, who immediately took us to our table. It’s BYOB and our waitress opened our bottle of wine and served it to us. By the way, the bread is to die for, especially the bread stuffed with broccoli rabe.
My wife started off with cream of artichoke soup, which she loved. She then had a pasta dish that was very delicious and plentiful. I had the veal special, which had a Marsala sauce. The veal was thinly sliced, slightly battered, and served with mozzarella cheese, spinach and mushrooms, all cooked to perfection.
For dessert we ordered the Bananas Foster Cheesecake, which came with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. There were plenty of both for sharing.
Beautiful restaurant, great food, wonderful service and priced fairly. Highly recommend.

Don’t even know where to start. The food is absolutely delicious! From the appetizers, dinner and dessert was all amazing! We like to go to dinner on weekends and try new places and this was by far our favorite! My stuffed artichoke was the best I’ve ever had. The pork chop was to die for and the cheesecake….. wow!!!!! Every single bite my husband took he would say “wow”. The staff were super nice and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant is great! My family and I will definitely be going here very often. Definitely go have an amazing dinner.. you won’t be disappointed

First time eating at Brooklyn Bistro but it will definitely NOT be my last. The food was exceptional, and portions were tremendous. The table started off with the Balsamic Calamari and it was out of this World. We then ordered Nona’s Meat Balls that were house made to perfection. The Chicken Parmigiana was not only delicious, but the portion could feed two. I ordered the Sunday Gravy with Braciole, Sausage and a Meatball over a bed of Spaghetti. Absolute “Chef’s Kiss”. There was no room for dessert, but we will leave room. Ext time, and there will be a next time, and then some. Co-Owner Vinny was the host with the most. A personality that lit up the room. I strongly suggest putting Brooklyn Bistro on your next stop for great food, great value and great atmosphere.

We had a great evening with great food and great friends.
The service was very good and very attentive.
We were a party of 10 and we were served in a timely manner.
I had the paparedelle with the short rib ragu which I highly recommend.
Look forward to my next visit.

If you like hot food, don’t come here! and never do pick up. TERRIBLE first impression would never return or recommend. Overpriced and just under mediocre at best. There are SO many more worthy restaurants to spend your money at in Tom’s River. This is not quality. Confused with the photo? It is supposed to be fried calamari! However, it’s got ice cold and covered in a pound of cold wet slop on top with a balsamic reduction so thick it rivals molasses. You’ve been warned.

03/25/2023: Dinner for 2. We enjoyed Crispy Fried Calamari & Italian Eggroll appetizers. Entree’s were Sunday Gravy (Meatball, Sausage & Braciole) and Pork Milanese. Dessert was Tartufo and coffee. This meal was excellent all around. Service was top notch. First visit was 07/29/2022: Lunch for 4.

We liked our food very much. Service is just average. They had a singer on Friday who was very good.

Service was excellent. I enjoyed my lasagna but our family of four was not happy with all the food. We got the special appetizer zucchini stuffed with gorgonzola cheese. While they did taste very good we were shocked how small a portion they were. It should have been double if not triple the amount. The meatballs were dry and not very good. The chicken parmigiana was also dry (over cooked thin cut) and not with good flavor. We hooed for better flavors and moist meatballs and chicken parmigiana. Overall we will try again but we see room for improvement. Try the lasagna if you go as that was good. Very traditional. Remember the service by staff is excellent.

One of our dear friends had recommended this place to us and we ordered the basa franches, Sunday gravy, penne votka. The chef at this place has a long way to go. The food was mediocre. I ordered it with rigatoni and they served it with spaghetti. The bread pudding they recommended was terrible. My wife said the salad was very good, but they didn’t serve any bread with it at all, which usually happens at a quality restaurant. When I went and picked up the food, I waited about 10 minutes for somebody to come to the booth.. They’re very nice people and it’s decorated very nicely, but the food is just not there. Needless to say I will not be going back to this place, I don’t know how they get continued customers, with he pricing that they charge.
