Reviews
People hold this brand in high regard. as an Uber Driver,I’ve had people insult me for not knowing Brooklyn bagels and when I talk about other bagels, they say how dare you call that a bagel about major chains in Atlanta with multiple locations. So I would take all of the reviews with a grain of salt.
It’s clean, elaborate, and chill.
I spent 10 bucks for two sandwiches and a cup of coffee though, I did bring in my own cup, which is a pro tip
The menu was extensive with plenty of bagel flavors and sandwich options. They also had chips, desserts, drinks, etc. I can’t speak to their coffees or sandwiches, but the bagel itself was delicious.
Parking was really easy as it has a parking lot attached. The environment was also really nice – plenty of seating and people enjoying their food on a Saturday morning. It was quite busy, but the food came out fast. The service was also friendly and prompt.
My only (very, very small) complaint is that the line could’ve been clearer – kind of hard to tell where it started and ended.
I ordered a tuna melt and chose the Israeli salad as the side. I asked for jalapenos to be added to the sandwich, and was disappointed when I got the receipt to find that they charged a dollar for the additional topping. Seemed steep considering there were about 8-10 jalapeno slices. The sandwich was pretty good, but would have been better if it had been heated through — some of the thicker parts were still cool in the middle. The bread and other toppings were very good, and it seemed like a sizable portion of tuna salad was on the sandwich. When it came to the Israeli salad, I wish I had more than what was in that little cup! It was very good and so fresh! I could have had a bowl of that stuff for lunch alone! 🙂
Overall, I’d visit again…there are many other items on the menu that I’d like to try.
The bill felt like a vengeful creditor. I pondered, have I unwittingly purchased partial ownership in this café? The food, though not vile, sang no sonnet upon my tongue. Perhaps, aye, perhaps, I had chosen poorly from the menu’s treacherous scroll, while others around me reveled in some secret delicacy, a fan-favorite unknown to us. Or perchance this was simply the only breakfast refuge for miles, and the multitude gathered here from sheer necessity, not delight. Or perhaps, I should have gone for the rainbow doughnuts!
Whatever the truth, the place stirred in me no lasting reverie. I departed with the thought, so ends another culinary tragedy, not with thunder, but perhaps with a sigh.
As someone born and raised in NYC Brooklyn, I know good food—especially a good deli or bagel spot. I decided to give Brooklyn Bagel & Deli a try for breakfast, expecting something that lived up to the city it’s named after. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown.
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato—no onions. My pregnant wife ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with ranch and buffalo sauce on the side. What we received was unacceptable.
My sandwich had barely any chicken, was sloppily thrown together with onions, and had wilted, rotten lettuce. My wife’s meal was even worse—no ranch sauce, and the chicken inside her wrap was raw. Yes, raw chicken. This is a serious health risk, especially for someone pregnant.
This place has no business carrying the name “Brooklyn” or referencing NYC. It’s a total misrepresentation, over priced and, frankly, an insult to the quality and standards we hold back home in Brooklyn.
As a Brooklyn native—I do not approve.
