Tbh, we came solely for that lobster roll. And it did not disappoint!! Service and atmosphere were fantastic but the food stole the show. Started off with their pretzel appetizer, the jalapeño queso that accompanied was fire! The lobster roll arrived with a basket of fresh crispy fries. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The roll was buttery and the lobster mixed with aoili was truly phenomenal. Bronze Bird did not disappoint!

Strong five star experience. Wonderful atmosphere with a fire pit outside. All of our dishes were 5 star. Watermelon feta salad had excellent dressing and glaze, sweet, with great nuts too. Bronze Bird entree was moist and layered with flavors and textures. Frest vegetables in well seasoned accompaniments. Great breading and bun on the hot chicken sandwich. Great burn, but not too much. Baja Alfredo was fun. Chocolate lava cake with black raspberry gelato was outstanding. Castviron chocolate chip cookie also. Very, very good. Juan was delightful. Reasonable prices. Great for all ages. Would recommend to anyone and return.

The service was very good from the moment I walked in. The restaurant is inside a hotel, I walked there from another hotel. The weather in San Diego was perfect for a nice walk.
I had the Lobster Roll and Fries. I was a little disappointed in the Lobster Roll. I was expecting chunks of lobster. Instead, it was minced and mixed with other stuff, it reminded me of chicken salad, but with minced lobster. The taste was good, it just wasn’t what I was expecting.
Would I recommend or go back, yes. I’d just order something else.

We came for dinner and a show at the Balboa Theater. Everything was great! Parking was easy (valet was $10 with show tickets). The food was top notch and our waiter was very nice and professional. Also, with the theater tickets, dinner was discounted 20%. It’s a great deal.

I liked the bartender. They were kind, cordial and professional. Salmon was bland and the tangerines unripened. The dressing on the arugula was good though. My suggestion don’t be afraid to season your meats.

Pleasant, open atmosphere. Food was very good. Had brussels sprouts, beet salad, short rib tacos, apple tart, the latte and an iced tea…shared with friend.
Had read on all reviews that the service was five star. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.Service personnel nice but a definite lack of attention to detail. Had to involve the manager, Jagger, who helped turned the situation around. I appreciate when someone checks if you need more refills, empty plates picked up, menus taken, etc.
This is a good option if you’re going over to the Civic Theatre. They have an excellent deal for valet parking, and 20% off of food once you show your tickets. Caveat to that… Make sure to check the bill for the 20% off!

A hidden gem, Bronze Bird is as solid as it is humble. My group and I were initially reluctant because of the restaurant’s location inside a hotel, but we were glad we got over it. Food was excellent, service was on point, and the setting was detached enough to make it feel ljke we weren’t in a “hotel restaurant”. Special thanks to Ramon our server and the kitchen staff for making the food to perfection.

Loved our lunch at Bronze Bird! Located in the Westin hotel with an entrance in the lobby. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and set up with multiple dog friendly areas including an outdoor patio. Very friendly and quick service staff. We ordered the ahi tuna poke tostada, the Baja lobster roll, and kids spaghetti and meatball. All delicious. Recommend!

San Diego’s Bronze Bird located in The Westin on Broadway offers a comforting yet refined dining experience, and after enjoying breakfast there, we couldn’t resist returning for lunch. With its inviting atmosphere and well-crafted dishes, this spot delivers on both morning indulgence and midday satisfaction.

The French Toast was a standout dish with its perfect balance of crisp and fluffy textures. The almond crust added a delightful crunch, while the fruit and Chantilly cream provided just the right touch of sweetness.

The Breakfast Sandwich- A well-executed combination of flavors and textures. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, nestled between layers of creamy aioli and fresh guacamole that added richness and depth. The smoky bacon and toasted bread rounded out the sandwich, making for a satisfying morning bite.

Lunch we ordered the Sopressata Pizza-Bold flavors made this pizza memorable. The slight spice of the sopressata and the Italian sausage paired beautifully with the well-crafted crust—crispy on the outside, soft inside—creating a perfect bite each time.

The warm, attentive service only enhanced the experience, making Bronze Bird a spot worth revisiting. Whether starting your day or taking a midday break, this restaurant delivers flavorful, thoughtfully prepared dishes that leave a lasting impression.

This place is inside Westin Hotel and has a separate entrance. I started off with the Asian Street Tacos which is quite good. The marinated tofu carries all the taste, the tortilla is just a placeholder for the tofu. Then, I tried the Watermelon and feta salad – this had walnuts, pecans, cherry tomatoes as well. These added a nice crunch to the salad. Overall, it was a nice experience being here.
