The place is very well lit, very “modern”, and very clean! It felt welcoming to say the least. You aren’t met the usual order counter, instead a few kiosks and a giant electric menu board grab your attention as you enter the building. I for one love the kiosks but others may not. Have no fear there is a live human being available if you prefer face to face ordering. We had checked the menu before coming and new what we wanted. That part was fast and easy. You ordering, pay, and pick up your table number all at the kiosk. Loved that.
We sat at the high top counter and waited on our order. It wasn’t too long of a wait, just long enough to know our food was fresh made. The worker from the front counter brought us our food rather quickly. We tipped her and dove in.
Onto the food. It was good. We both ordered fried chicken sandwiches. Mine was the hot honey, which had a great cook and sweet flavor but lacked that heat I was looking for. My wife had the crispy chicken which she loved. We also split an order of sweet potato fries (excellent) and a Pina kale-ata smoothie (doubly excellent).
All in all we were happy with the food.
We will be back, maybe for breakfast next time, and will recommend.
The parking lot and outside building appearance is very sharp and clean. Walking in the same attention to cleanliness is apparent inside.
It’s a tad strange to be cattle hearded in the ordering area. But the screens for the menu are cool. ( A full wall display ). You order at Kiosks which seems to be the norm and take your table card and have a seat. Dining area is open and bright yellows, blacks and white.
Now onto the food.
Ordered two smash burgers with brome sauce and a sharable cajon fries.
Order came out quickly. The girl that delivered said nothing. But gently placed our order on the table and took our table card.
The self service station for drinks and condiments is stocked well and kept clean.
The fries were super hot and spiced excellant. The burgers are first appearance look delightful and appealing.
Taste of everything is right on ! Temp perfect. Grilled onions meat and pickles all work well. Fries are very good with some nice ketchup !
So why three stars.
$13 base for a smaller 6 ounce pre cook smash burger with everything being $1 ala cart as you go through the menu is expensive. $5.50 for cajon fries was worth it all day long. We ate and ate and ate and still have some left over.
By the time you ad it up. $28 for two 6 ounce burgers . Nothing included is steep !
Then the $2 beverage and $ 5.50 fries. Tax and oh yes. That pesky 3% credit card fee made this lunch surprisingly expensive.
So. I always knock 1 star for credit card fees when the food is highly priced. And one star for the ala cart pricing for what you get.
Brome was really good to try. We enjoyed the food. It’s more then likely a one and done. But was good. Hit five guys and your gonna get a tray full for the same if not slightly less. 🙂
Tots and a drink buddies tried a host of other items. Overall it is good. My chicken sandwich could have had more pickles it had only two and sauce was minimal. For $13.50 put some more pickles on it. Or a slice of tomato or lettuce. Something. Definitely will try it again. Saw a really nice salad a family was sharing which looked good. Real clean inside, condiment station looked pretty good.
