However, no one greeted us when we walked in. A few servers saw us waiting but didn’t say anything, which felt a bit awkward. After a short wait, a hostess finally came over and seated us.
Thankfully, the rest of the experience was much better. The food, as always, was delicious and comforting. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.
Overall, aside from the rocky start, everything turned out well.
The first thing so hard to find parking is bad located, the employees were super nice with us. We had 2 meals a pomegranate juice and a coffee.
The coffee was terrible bad the flavor is just not good, the pomegranate juice is good just keep in mind there is not sugar in it.
I had a ranchero skillet first impression was looking good but the taste was mid and the amount of oil in it just insane.
My girlfriend had chicken and waffles, it was the worst chicken and waffles ever, super dry on the chicken barely flavor and the waffle hard to chew and not even good flavor so just go to black bear for it.
I had a super bad experience overall so don’t come over if you have more options
The service was the biggest letdown. Our food took a long time, and our server only checked on us once—we actually had to flag her down just to get drink refills. Speaking of drinks, the “freshly squeezed” orange juice tasted exactly like processed Tropicana.
The food execution was poor across the board. The Chilaquiles Bowl was a mess—the red sauce was too wet, the green was dry, and the steak was chewy. The Chicken Fried Steak was small with doughy breading, though the gravy was actually quite savory. The hash browns were a huge disappointment (mushy and soft), but the toast was excellent. Even the Kids Pancake meal skimped on the fruit portion.
There are better breakfast spots in Ontario that can handle a busy rush without sacrificing food quality or service.
