The food was exceptional as well as the drinks. We were disappointed that the second watermelon margarita did not come with a watermelon on the side. They were extremely busy but we checked in online and had just a short wait. The staff was efficient even with the crowd of guests.

Last week we went to the Broken Yolk Cafe in Mesa, AZ for the first time ever! Someone shared with us that they had vegan options for me so we were thrilled for the experience!

I’ve lived around the way for a while and just now tried this place. I wish I had tried it sooner! It was so good! I got the mile high omelet and shared a Belgian waffle. Our server was super friendly. The food came fast and the portions were very generous. I will definitely go again! I was very happy with the whole experience.

Super disappointed. I don’t live on this side of town but have seen this place and have always wanted to try it. Stopped in and was immediately seated. The waitress was super nice. I ordered the stuffed french toast that came with bananas. I asked to add strawberries to it as well. When it came out, inside of the French toast was a block of cream cheese, with no bananas only strawberries. Strawberries were definitely not fresh. Ok no problem, whatever. I had to mash up the cream cheese to soften it up. It didn’t have much of the caramel syrup on it so I was needing to ask for more but the gal disappeared for over 10 minutes. When she finally came I asked for a box and syrup to go. Got the bill and was charged extra for the strawberries. I asked the girl why I was charged for the strawberries when I didn’t get the bananas that it was supposed to come with. She said the strawberries aren’t listed on the menu for the stuffed french toast so it’s considered extra. You would think it would be an even swap. Then she took my card to run. Came right back with receipts but no card. I had to wait another 5 minutes for someone to come up front and give me my card. I’m hoping this isn’t the norm cause I really wanted to try the rest of the French toast items since that’s my absolute favorite breakfast meal.

Very solid experience overall. We had the monte cristo, the pick 2 benis, and a side of the cinnamon roll pancake.

The service and overall vibe of this breakfast place was fantastic. Our waitress, Sarah, was SO friendly, fast and efficient. The food is classic breakfast foods, which I would rate about 7 out of 10. For being a breakfast place that is 5 minutes away from our house AND has great service – we are thrilled and will be returning.

The Broken Yolk Cafe has a very nice and professional staff, and the food is absolutely delicious! It’s not an upscale restaurant but it’s a lot nicer than a lot of places I’ve been to. It’s a family friendly place but they also have some yummy adult breakfast drinks. I started with a Mimosa drink that is a seasonal one, it was pretty good especially if you like champagne because the champagne flavor was more strong than anything. I did think it would taste a little different because the description sounded a little more sweet than it was. My husband got the BYC Bloody Mary and he really enjoyed it. My husband also really enjoyed his breakfast, he got the El Fuego omelette plate and it was delicious! I even had a bite! I got the Crunchy French Toast, it was also absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every bite! My husband had some and loved it too! We definitely will be eating here again!
