We ended up ordering the “choose two” Benedict, (sope & chicken n’ waffles) and the fried chicken sandwich.
The food and service was top notch when comparing to other Diners. The drink options were modern and elevated but still had the classic coffee or espresso. We did see the wait staff greet regulars at their table with warm hugs and catching up, it was nice to see that.
We will definitely be coming back to try more delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good and comforting food!
Today, I ordered two eggs, crispy hash browns, Canadian bacon, and English muffins. The waitress wrote down the order, and I thought I heard her saying “three eggs.” I told her that I just wanted two eggs, not three. She looked at her paper and said, “Yes, two eggs.”
When the order came, there were three eggs. I mentioned that I wanted two only. Of course, I could eat two only, but her response was: “Are you sure you didn’t want three?” Moving on…
The hash browns were totally white and seemed raw in the middle. She looked at them and acknowledged that they were far from crispy. She said that she’ll order a side of crispy ones. When they came, they were a clump of totally burned potatoes and tasted like rancid oil! I guess the cook got offended and taught me a lesson!
I have to say that for months now, at each visit, the hash browns are undercooked no matter if I ordered them crispy or not.
One last thing, there seemed to be a lot of confusion as to which server handles which customer.
I am sorry, but I will find another breakfast place. This was my last visit here.
They sent two orders of blueberry pancakes (almost no blueberries in the pancakes) with no syrup or other toppings, an under toasted English muffin with no jam/jelly/preserves, two sets of utensils for an order with three full sized meals.
This place is cutting every corner possible and their food has the quality of a Denny’s but replace the cooks with the dishwasher.
Go get Toasted Yolk, or iHop or Denny’s.
