I’m not one who typically leaves reviews, but my wife and I could not stop talking about our experience at the Broken Wheel Brewery. By far the best thing we have ever eaten in our 25 years together. Crab Nachos, Steak, Fried Shrimp & Soft Shell Crab!
The atmosphere was awesome and the restaurant is beautiful. Megan was our waitress was so helpful and sweet she made us feel right at home. We will definitely be returning!

Why is no one in Alex/Pineville talking about this place?! We are so lacking in restaurant variety, specifically this type of restaurant, and it’s just a short drive away in Marksville. The menu consists of classic American fare, but with creative twists that are well executed. There are so many interesting choices I had a hard time choosing on my first visit, but I’ve been slowly making my way around the menu.

For apps, we’ve been stuck on the Krab Nachos and the Spicy Avocado Tuna Stack and haven’t branched out. However, at this point, I’ve tried quite a few of the entrées and have loved them all.

1. My favorite would be the Shrimp and Grits, but it was taken off the menu and I still haven’t forgiven them for it! However, I see it listed on the current menu on their website, so maybe it’s been brought back??? Fingers crossed!!!
2. Potato Crusted Chicken – The crispy chicken breast with bacon cream sauce could stand alone, but it’s the unique flavors of the sweet potato chipotle mash that really make this dish stand out.
3. Andouille Crusted Redfish – I love everything about this, especially the grits, but the sauces on this are so good and they’re what really elevate BW’s version of this dish.
4. Beef Ribeye – as a person who typically prefers a minimally seasoned steak, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the flavors that the thyme butter adds to the ribeye. And the onion rings are so good.
5. Coffee Rubbed Pork Ribeye – Thick, juicy, and delish. I personally prefer it without the goat cheese and pickled onions. The Brussels sprouts are fantastic.

Servers are always sweet, prompt, and attentive. Prices are typical for this type of restaurant and reasonable considering the quality. I’ve never had a bad meal or a bad experience at Broken Wheel. It’s truly one of the best restaurants in Central Louisiana!

I’ve been here a dozen times. My family usually drives in from Alexandria just to go eat. I was working in the area tonight and decided to stop and get an early dinner. The soup of the day was French Onion-one of my favorites. I ordered a bowl for my meal and when it came out they had one tiny piece of baguette with very little cheese on it. I figured it was no problem to ask for more but the waitress told me the kitchen staff wouldn’t give me anymore with my meal. She told me that “didn’t have that much left.” So why even serve French onion without the toppings? She ended up bringing me garlic bread that just clashed with the flavors of the soup. I’m so disappointed. Luckily, they took the garlic bread off of my check. I can’t believe they were even going to charge me for extra bread I didn’t even eat! The soup was delicious but the kitchen staff tainted a usually wonderful restaurant experience.

This place!!!! I have a true love and appreciation for great food and this spot is my absolute favorite!! I spent 3 days in Marksville LA on a work trip and had to try so many dishes at this place and each one just kept getting more delicious.
The Krab nachos, the pub tots, the truffle fries, the spinach dip, and the best burger I have ever had in my life (Brown Bag Burger) and the absolute best chicken dish I have EVER had (Potato crusted Chicken with sweet potato mash). The people are so kind and the service is fantastic. I will always be stopping by this place when I am in town again. Absolutely incredible!!!

Went with my husband for a date night, and it was great! I made a reservation because I knew it would be busy on a Friday night, but we got there about 10 mins early and got out table right away! Our waitress was very attentive and took great care of us. I don’t drink often, but have a weak spot for a blueberry lemon drop martini, and boy! Did their’s hit the spot! Food was also excellent. We were on a timeline because we were going somewhere after dinner, and we told our waitress and she made sure we got everything in a timely manner, but still enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be going back!

Ok, this is a wonderful place to eat. We were a group of eight visiting for the weekend. We decided to try here for lunch on Friday. It was so much better than our experience the night before at Nannys restaurant that is just down the road.(please go check that review). We got there right at noon. Expected to wait, due to the cars in the parking lot(slam full). We got seated immediately, our drinks were brought out and orders taken promptly. The food was Delicious! Between the eight of us we covered the chicken salad, burgers, shrimp plates and more. Everything looked and tasted wonderful. The meal was so delicious, we even splurged & got dessert. The portions of the servings for the meal were above average and so we’re the desserts. The cheesecake were double slices & tasted homemade. This wasn’t an out of a box no bake dessert. The brownie & bread puddings were huge also. The server, Travis was polite attentive and checking up on us regularly. Looking forward to returning when we’re back in town.

My dinner guest and I visited this eatery/brewery the last Sat. in June for the first time.

Our waitress was an awesome sweetheart!
The inside of the place is nice and inviting. There in a patio dining area and and outdoor dining area, too!

Walking up to the door, there is a great spot to get your photo taken.

There are some advertisements of the food they prepare on a TV monitor in the dining area. I was not sure who the photos of the people are, though. It seems a bit pretentious to post misc. Photos of vacations. Lol

It was quite noisy inside of the restaurant, so go outdoors if you prefer a more quiet atmosphere.

1. Crab cakes are THE BEST, EVER!

2. Seared Red fish meal–yum-yum!!!

3. The Tuna was fresh and cooked to my liking! I wish it came with a sauce poured on.

I had soft shell crab platter with grilled asparagus. The food was amazingly delicious and the asparagus was the best I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and get some bread pudding. Kylie was our server and did an outstanding job with our meal. She’s sweet and attentive. I’ll definitely be back there.

The prices have gone up since our last visit. The food still tastes DELICIOUS, but apparently the amount you get depends on who plates the food. (My onion rings were in a layer to the side of my oysters whereas a lady’s at another table were mounded up underneath hers. My husband ordered a combination plate of fish and shrimp but they brought him oysters. When we brought it to the attention of our waitress she brought the whole plate back to the kitchen! (He could’ve been eating his fish and fries, and of course they were no longer hot when he got his plate back.) Also, the hush PUPPY (as in ONE per plate) were tasty but “packy” (dense) and very small.

Our waitress was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was DELICIOUS! I’ve never had seared tuna before and was pleasantly surprised! My husband and the other couple with us all had a combination plate and EVERYTHING tasted superb!

The atmosphere was my favorite part. I love the covered outdoor patio and fireplace. The bathrooms are super cute and definitely bathroom selfie worthy (if you’re into that lol). I had the combo seafood plate with soft shell crab and shrimp. Both were very good. The last time I came, they were more flavorful. It was still good none the less. We ordered the Ahi tower stack (that may not be the exact name, but it’s an appetizer). It was perfect. The tuna was so fresh. Every bite made me pleased that we chose to order it.
