Broders has delivered on the same promise for decades: food that’s delicious, consistent, and executed with precision. As a pizza chef in the neighborhood, this is where I go when I’m not eating my own.

The care every team member brings to the art of hospitality Broders is known for is a direct reflection of an exceptional management team and staff that continues to beautifully carry forward the standards Molly and Tom set so many years ago.

I first met Tom Broder Sr. when I was nine years old, ordering a slice of cheese pizza before walking over to the Edina Theatre with a buddy. This place isn’t just nostalgia from my youth it’s a cornerstone of Italian food in our community.

Now, with a dining room that feels like it was always meant to be there, Broders continues to set the bar. We’re incredibly lucky to have this gem.

Thank you to Broders, and to everyone who continues to honor the standards Molly and Tom established when it all began.

I had the meat lasagna which was very good, I also tried a strawberry rhubarb bar which was very delicious also. I will definitely visit again to try other menu items.

Chicken parm with fettuccine was very good. Only complaint is that the portion was not very big, but it was probably consistent with the price. Italian cookies were very good. Almond horn cookies were great. Rainbow cookie was larger than most but was just ok, but both at $1.95 per cookie were very expensive. I’m used to paying by the pound for Italian cookies. Overall great little spot in a safe area with street parking. I’d go back.

Decided to go to the new location on a whim and glad we did. Very similar setup to the old location, but the deli and dine in are switched sides. Food is still the same quality and great! Parking is still off the street and limited. Staff is friendly, so stop in, order at the counter, and they’ll bring the food out to you. Seating area is small, but they appear to be expanding at the time of this review, so it should get better.

Please help Guthrie T, who is on the “Hospitality Team,” better understand what “hospitality” means. We’ve been coming regularly, especially when our kiddo is craving focaccia, since the deli is a short walk from our house. They have their focaccia available by the door, on a shelf beneath the cash register, or in the kitchen. We learned previously from other team members who voluntarily offered – a fresh batch is sometimes available in the kitchen. Since then, we ask in case a batch just came out of the oven (and warm!). When we asked on the latest visit, the team member checked and came back and told us that some would be available in 15 minutes. Guthrie was standing at the register next to the team member. We asked if we should pay then, or when we come back. The team member told us to just pay later. We came back a little before 15 minutes. The team member who was helping us (shoulder length dark hair, painted nails) was assisting another customer. Guthrie stepped up to assist us without a greeting or smile – ready to argue. He proceeded to tell us while bobbing his head, rolling his eyes and gesturing with his hands that they did not fulfill our order. They’re not going to make another batch for us because there were already some available. We did not ask the original team member to make a batch for us. That was OFFERED, and we happily accepted. But under 15 minutes, GUTHRIE TOOK IT UPON HIMSELF TO CHASTISE THE TEAM MEMBER WHO WAS ASSISTING US AND REVOKE THE OFFER. Wow. Again, we did not ask anyone to make a new batch. After expressing our frustration and receiving reluctant apologies from Guthrie, we ended up purchasing two focaccia that were already bagged – Only because our kiddo still wanted focaccia. The focaccia ended up dry, and not up to standard. Disappointing experience all around. What type of “hospitality” training did Guthrie receive?

We have been coming here for over 20 years and I’m not sure how I just got around to reviewing them. I love the pizza, but went with an old favorite in the South Jersey hoagie, with French baguette. In my opinion, there is no better Italian style sandwich in the city. My daughter has loved their pasta (any, but specifically Farfalle) with pesto. I

Some people may say broders pizza is nothing special, unremarkable, forgettable. These people are wholly misinformed. Broders pizza is generational — of legend, even. The handsome cashier, whose name I have forgotten (frank? francesco? frappe?) was a charming delight. While I may have forgotten your name, I will never forget your soft features, natural charisma, and delicious, delicious pizza.
Thank you,
Henrik

I have always loved coming here, but I had a terrible experience here on Sunday 12/21 The assistant manager (not sure on first name) was extremely rude to me and embarrassed and accused me of first not paying for a drink. Which I absolutely did, and then after I said yes I did pay for a drink, he told me my whole transaction didn’t go through, mind you this is also in front of the table next to ours and he’s saying this loudly. I was so embarrassed and also it was a complete lie I had signed and everything (I knew I paid). I then proceeded to say I would like to see my receipt because now at this point I’m not even sure if my order like went through so he has me second guessing myself. The customer service from him was beyond unprofessional, I couldn’t believe he is the “assistant manager” then this nice girl comes over with my bag of food and my receipt on the bag and I said I’m so confused here’s my receipt, my foods on there, my drinks on there… but I was told by an assistant manager I didn’t pay? I’m still in shock over the customer service and experience overall. I have never been treated this way at an establishment! The manager had walked by and I nicely asked if I could speak to her at least she was kind and listened to me vent. The other staff was kind and helpful, the food is always delicious.

Very good food and great service! New dining room expansion is very nice.

Food review:

Can of Diet Coke: 10/10. Can’t really mess this up.

Sparkling water on tap: 9/10. Tastes good.

Cheese Pizza 9/10. I guess they thought the slice they gave me was small, so they just gave me an extra one for free! (See picture)

Cappuccino Brownie 8.75/10. I really don’t like coffee but this tasted quite good and is sort of like the brownie version of coffee cake if that makes sense. Anyways, it tastes more like brownie than coffee and I recommend it to even those who dont like coffee.
