This was my family’s first time visiting Herrington KS. We live in Junction City, but wanted to try something new. I have never had a baked potato with the pulled pork put on top of it. It was a great take on the meal. I really liked the open layout of the restaurant and the small town vibes.

The food was amazing! We tried the chicken pesto panini, mushroom and Swiss burger, and the chicken fried steak sandwich. It was all really really good. The coleslaw was really good too it was a little heavy on the liquid but still had really good flavor and the fry twisters are absolutely worth your time. We tried two of their fall drinks. The royal flush and the fall margarita. Fair warning it was a heavy poor on the liquor but still really tasty.

I had the smothered chicken & mashed potatoes. My chicken was very dry & cold on the inside like it had been prepared ahead & reheated. My potatoes were on cold side & didn’t melt the cheese. They also tasted like instant. Husband said his burger was dry but at least hot. Our waitress was kind but didn’t check on us after delivering our food until she brought the check. Atmosphere was clean &.well furnished. Staff stood behind the bar on their phones. Was disappointing & sadly I won’t be back.

The last couple of times the food quality has been noticeably worse. We took some business visitors there for lunch and it was terrible. I had a cheeseburger that had lots of gristle in it…definitely not the Broadway Station that we were used to. Please bring back the food quality so that we can bring back visitors for lunch.

The food, service, and atmosphere was awesome. We went there to celebrate ours and our friends anniversaries and got to play singo bingo as an extra after dinner. We all had a much deserved night out. I recommend Wednesday nights if you’re looking for good food with a little extra for a night out.

Absolutely outstanding!! Awesome vibe, great service, excellent food. It is 100% worth it to leave the beaten path and come into Herington for this slice of Americana. Chicken sandwich was uber tender and something about their fries is addicting! Skip the chain food and support local – you will not regret it.

Food was hot and tasty. Our server was attentive. They saved the old metal tile on the ceiling. It is neat to see how they rehabbed the old building and saved part of the history.

Moving on.. my family got burgers. They were burnt all of them. Our fries were decent but tasted factory made not homemade.
We decided to tell “Patty” The Manager.
40 minutes go by they didn’t have many customers only about 4 tables.
We decided to pay our bill and not eat.
I think the owner should look into “Patty” and actually make a good decision about hiring a decent manager and not just sitting at the bar and talking to customers. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Back in town for a short visit. Came here three times. Between four of us we tried many menu items and all were good. Atmosphere is also nice with live band on weekend evening (can be kinda loud tho). Was consistently busy but not crowded. Reasonably priced. Overall great experience.
