Stopped in for drinks on New Year’s eve and just returned the other evening for dinner. Staff is very friendly. Alyssa was our server and she was excellent. Food was decent, I had the olive burger and my wife had the fish and chips. Neither was spectacular but good. Prices are reasonable and they have a good variety of both food and drink. They have an outdoor patio for those nicer days to come.

The food was excellent. The service was slow because they were very overwhelmed, because they were slammed. We showed up with a large party(10) and there was another large party and no empty tables inside. We ate out in the patio and the waiter was fairly new. I understand that. But there wasn’t anyone else on the patio until our drink order was taken. When our server came back he took the orders of the other tables and got their drinks before he took our order. Our food came out one plate at a time. That’s why 3 star for service.

We had a group of12 tonight for dinner. Our waitresses, Selena was very personable and her back up, Charlie was spot on. Great service even though it was dinner time and they had other tables that they had to wait on. We had a variety of menu items and all the food was delicious. The owner even was at our table for a good 20-30 minutes having a good conversation. So, I thank you for a wonderful evening, we will definitely be back as individuals and as a group.

I don’t do reviews, I think it’s unfair to judge an establishment over one bad experience. However, this review has been years in the making. This was my family’s go-to place, but over the years it has completely gone down hill. COVID isn’t an excuse anymore, so I’m concerned about every time I walk in, there is a completely different wait staff. It seems no matter what we order, when we order it, or if it’s dine in or take out, it is just plain not good. My wife and I dined there last night for our Valentine’s Day dinner, and it was for the last time. I ordered the combo basket, and when I received it, the shrimp were obviously overcooked and hard as rocks. The fish was the same, and the filets size were miniscule compared to what I’ve had in the past. And on top of that, the parts of the fish that I could eat had absolutely no flavor. The cocktail sauce was mediocre at best. If I wanted ketchup, I would grab the ketchup bottle. I do not like to complain, so I stomached as much as I could until I felt as though I would vomit. My wife however asked for more shrimp, but by that point I was done. The few I could eat had absolutely no flavor, like the fish. Sometimes changing food suppliers to save a few dollars ends up costing you in the long run, which I feel has happened.

A somewhat large group of us (8 adults) stopped in there last night after dinner at Farrand Hall for drinks and appetizers. Our waitress was top notch!!! I wish I could remember her name, but she was absolutely fabulous!!! We were there about 9:30pm and it was busy but she was wonderful. Our group is from the Lansing/St. Johns/Williamston area and I know my husband and I for sure will try to be back someday soon!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!!

Great little place downtown! We came though on a whim on our way back from Lake Michigan on a Sunday night. Had to wait a little bit, due to a large party being served as well, but that’s to be expected anywhere. The food was great! Gave us that down-home, mom and pop feel. We’ll definitely be back!
