Reviews
Environment ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
Casual, self-service setup.
Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐½☆
• Lobster Roll + Uni ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Excellent. The bread was buttered and toasted perfectly, and both the lobster and uni were very fresh.
Honestly, this combination is hard to mess up
• Fries ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
Too oily and too dry at the same time. Not enjoyable
Will I come back?
Yes—for the lobster roll, not the fries.
Overall, the lobster rolls were a solid choice if you’re in the mood for something indulgent, though a bit pricey. Definitely worth trying if you’re craving seafood.
The resto shares the long and large dining patio space with a counter bar which serves the the right combo for any dish you order.
The service is fast and helpful.
The dining area is a mix of various tropical styles and is wide enough to take on large diners. A great place for small parties and grouos of any size.
I ordered the large order of stone crab claws (6), the Caesar salad with anchovies, and the uni butter pasta with added “fresh” uni on top (for an extra charge) for a total charge of $170.49 including tip, tax, fee.
I received the text that my order was ready just as I was parking a block away.
The pick up counter is in a bar, I told the guy that I was there to pick up my order—the guy then proceeds to gab with his co-workers for a solid 5 mins while I can see my bag on the counter next to him. After some confusion (my bag was the only one on the counter) I received my bag and headed to my bnb.
When I started to take the items out of the bag, a fishy smell filled the kitchen. The 6 crab claws were divided into 2 ice filled containers and looked very underwhelming. I put the claws on a plate and tried to eat them. First, the claws were absolutely butchered. Whomever took the mallet to them didn’t care if they left the shells in tiny little inedible pieces that were way too small to extricate from the crab meat. They obviously just whacked the heck out of each piece and ruined the crab. Every piece I tried to eat was filled with little shell bits. I had to spit it out. On top of it, the crab was mealy, grey, and covered with a white thick slime. All the legs were covered with the white slime. I couldn’t believe how awful it was! And at that price.
I understand that stone crab was out of season so I wasn’t expecting to replicate what I had in orlando and Miami, in season—but these were foul and spoiled.
The Caesar salad was limp and not tossed well. Some leaves had zero dressing while other parts were just globs of thick, grainy dressing. For $19.
The pasta was cooked al dente but had very little flavor. And the extra uni on top (that was $14 extra) was pulpy, broken, and not fresh tasting.
I ended up dumping all of it in the trash that smelled like death by sewage before I went to bed.
I called the next day to tell them about my experience and the guy who answered the phone was unintelligible. After some time he passed the phone to someone who was very nice. He apologized for the bad experience and refunded me for JUST THE CRAB CLAWS. He was genuinely bummed that I had a bad experience and offered me a free order of claws if I wanted to come by and pick them up. Thanks but no thanks.
I appreciated his earnest disappointment in my bad experience but I would never eat there again—not even for free.
Avoid the gross, white slime, over cracked shells, and terrible food at all (very expensive) costs.
Left 2 stars because of how the employee on the phone handled my concern but still wouldn’t eat here if you paid me.
