I really love the concept of this restaurant. The gyro had a bit too much sauce for my taste, and I wished there were more greens. The burger patty was a little overcooked and not as juicy as we had hoped. That said, the soup and the oatmeal cookies were delicious. Considering the price, I do wish the quality of some of the dishes could be improved. Overall, I enjoyed the concept and really appreciate that they use fresh, clean ingredients.

This was a good pre-dinner stop for us! Price wasn’t too bad for 2 regular sized ciders, 1 flight with 4 choices of cider, and a hot mulled cider. They have a big selection of non-alcoholic options as well, plus a section of the building dedicated to selling things like coffee beans, tea and even flour! They have games to play while you sit and enjoy your drinks.

Our 1st dining experience here. The apple walnut salad and pork tacos were very delicious. The staff were friendly and I even bought a winter beanie, Cates Farm ground beef, and beef summer sausage.

This is a serious farm to table restaurant that identifies where all its food comes from. Tried the lamb gyro flatbread. Beautiful presentation flavorful but meat not hot and you really needed a steak knife to cut it up. Apple cider vinaigrette on salad. Enjoyed my cider flight, but none jumped out at me. Mostly self serve. Eclectic decor, outside patio right by Military Ridge Trailhead.

They have a wonderful selection of ciders and interesting menu items for a hearty meal. Had to try the hot mulled cider and a cold hard one, both were excellent. The bread for buns is delicious and high quality. Enjoyed browsing the local items for sale. Definitely will be back, especially for the music. Oh, and the handmade live edge tables are gorgeous.

A nice place to visit and have a drink that’s off the path from Madison. Their earlier opening hours are nice if you’re traveling through.
Good variety of cider to pair with any preference! I did not try the food except a cookie (which was good).
Didn’t spend much time nor had heard of this town before visiting, but Brix really have bought into the general theme of the town, and have a heavy preference on using hyper local ingredients, which is always good to see.

This place is amazing. Here for a wedding and we came back the next day because it was so good. The bruschetta special was amazing and looked like it should be on a food show. Everything is locally sourced and they have a giant map of where there food comes from in Wisconsin. They name the farms when they can. Best food on the whole trip. Cider flavors are excellent as well. Staff was super friendly.

This was our first visit and left very much impressed! Our food was excellent, and I have to say I picked the best place to try hard cider for the first time. Brix offers farm-to-table dishes, and I love that they use locally sourced ingredients and meat. The vibe of the place was awesome, there were several flyers promoting open mics and game nights. You can also purchase merchandise, and there is a cooler offering other beverages such as Spotted Cow etc. Great place in downtown Mt. Horeb with easy access to the trail, and you might even see a troll!

A nice surprise, I’m not a big fan of cider but was in the area and wanted lunch from someplace new. I ordered a dry hop cider and had a burger for my meal. The dry hop cider was delicious hint of cider and a nice hop flavor, very refreshing. The food is all locally sourced. I was familiar with many of the suppliers and the burger was excellent. I did upgrade and order a side of smashed potatoes. Nice side of smashed purple potatoes very tasty.

I took my kids here during a short roadtrip vacation. I had the Wisco gyro which was absolutely delicious and the Cosmic Queen cider.. it was pretty good, too. My son loved his pizza and my daughter wasn’t a big fan of the hot dog but i think that is because she is used to a certain brand and she’s my picky eater. She did like the chips, apple and root beer. The ambience is amazing and very friendly staff. The kids even got in a few games of foosball 🙂
