This is a warm and inviting restaurant, cozy even. I went on a quiet Wednesday evening in January. The bar was picturesque and the customer experience was phenomenal. they clearly care about ingredients and quality. I had the house made guacamole, it was perfectly flavored and the chips were an ideal thickness for the task at hand. They weren’t cantina thin, they had substance but none of the chew that can come with a thicker house-made chip or naan. I would definitely come back to further explore the menu.

Very kind and welcoming! We were bar hopping around west port for my birthday and stumbled across this place. They brought me fire work churros. They really made my birthday special. I didn’t know this place existed before but I’ll be sure to let everyone know how awesome this place is. They even have a speak easy!!!!! The drinks were incredible too, I have yet to try the food but I’m sure it’ll blow our socks off. I highly recommend trying this place. Anyways, thank you brix!!!! 🙂

Brick was able to sit a party of 16 of us without a notice ahead of time. Amazing food!!! The quesabirria tacos with the spicy salsa, medium salsa and the consume tasted seasoned and delicioussss!! The horchata was creamy and delicious, and the cinnamon flavor was prominent. The Westport Nachos were a great appetizer as well. Lastly, the churro cart was a cute idea; the filling inside was delicious, and I enjoyed the strawberry and caramel sauces. We all were pleased with our food and would love to come back next time we visit KC!

You would miss the front door unless you were looking for it and in Westport there are so many doors crammed together you can miss it.
I grew up in the world of Manny’s and Rudy’s because of my Mom and in Kansas City, its hard to find upscale Mexican food that is approachable and still quintessential beat service of your life as many Mexican resturants are known for.
Brix accomplished it all in a tiny package. The reaturant is warm and very inviting with a large bar flanking the left rear of the reaturant and large vines sprawling one wall. It made me smile and feel like I was at home. From the moment we entered Brix we were greeted and and beautifully handled through the entire dining experience.
The drinks were stellar and so much better than you typically get at most Mexican resturants. I have the Birria burrito and it was absolutely fantastic. My wife had the potatoes and shrimp dish and loved hers as well. The pricing was fair, the food was flavorful and the staff was so attentive we asked to hang out longer!
Let’s hope Brix gets noticed because its worth looking for!

Went for a family night out but there’s no kids menu at all so all our kid wanted was some fried and their online menu doesn’t match their menu at the restaurant then we ordered our entree’s and there was tomatoes in the dish I ordered but the menu didn’t say there was tomatoes in that dish at all. I don’t eat tomatoes. My husband’s not as picky as me but he didn’t even like is food at all like we both took a bite of the food and it just wasn’t for us personally. But the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed.

We ordered the chips and queso. It was like high school concession stand quality. I could have made my own at home with a block of velveeta and it would have been better. We ate a couple of the chips and told our waiter. A manager came out and immediately refused to switch it out or take it off. I didn’t request either of those things but I asked why. He said “because that’s how it comes.” I’m not sure why you would be ok serving that to people at all.
The drinks were mid. I got the cucumber and strawberry agua fresca.
The shrimp tacos were actually decent as well as the chicharrones. The birria ramen and the nachos were not good either but the other people I was with did not want to tell the waiter because of the response I got from the manager about the chips and queso.
We were being rushed the whole time we were there. The bathroom closest to us was dirty. Someone left the seat up and peed everywhere.
Do not waste your money here. It was not a comfortable experience. I did not feel welcome here. I will not be returning on my own volition. I’m sure we will be hearing about this business closing down sometime soon.

One of the best places I’ve eaten at in KC. Really unique and rich dishes. Even the classics have their own spin. Our table was obsessed with every dish. You can really tell how much thought has gone into their menu. Good atmosphere and great service too. We will definitely be back.

Love this place, I think it’s a hidden gem. The ambiance and atmosphere were great, and the team members did an outstanding job for a table for 4. What makes this place special in my mind is the great food but also the location, which is a great spot for some food before a night out in westport. It’s a little on the pricey side, but it’s well worth it. Margaritas outstanding!

My first time there was great! The drinks were refreshing and well balanced. The guacamole tasted fresh and the birria soup was flavorful, with fresh sides of chopped onion and cilantro. The churros had cream cheese filling and tasted great with the dips.
