Despite the sauce on top of fish, it was still crispy. It was amazingly soft inside and goes well with coleslaw.
My server was very sweet and friendly, it was very nice to talk to her.
Definitely will come back if I visit Montreal again.
Tried the fish of the month (sole fish) which was lightly drizzled with sweet soy sauce and comes with kimchi mayo. If I disregard the attempt to add Asian flavours, I would say it’s a crunchy and well cooked fish. As an Asian, I would prefer the kimchi mayo to have real kimchi kick so that it can balance the greasiness. The fish my friends ordered was darker than brown (slightly burnt) but the fish itself is ok.
Poutine was good, cheesy and nicely savoury.
I would say this taste pretty much like the ones I had in London
Service was great, the female staff attending to us (sorry didn’t catch her name) was attentive and helpful.
Tried the classic fish and chips, tried the cod, and ordered some tandoori fried shrimp since the Indian in me wanted to try out the Indian style shrimp in Montreal.
Both dishes were truly well cooked and delicious, service was apt and quite timely. The bud light went well with the fried dishes and kept me cool during the sultry day.
Overall, a nice experience.
The fries were homemade and perfectly done, and both the tartare sauce and curry sauce were spot on. It does get super busy for dinner, so we went right when they opened for lunch, which worked out perfectly. Classic fish and chips done right, with the bonus of being gluten free friendly without sacrificing taste.
Soooo good! We dont live nearby, but we take the time once a year (usually to celebrate my daughter’s birthday!) to come and eat their fish of the month and any other one on the menu.
If you like fish n’ chips, there is nothing like this around.
And they serve IRN BRU!!!!
100% would recommend
Fish was tasty but there was only one small piece — really disappointing for the price $$
The sandwich was mostly two huge slices of thick bread with sauce and green peas.
Fries were delicious and salad was good.

We were exploring old Montreal, and honestly just looking for lunch and a watercloset ha! But what an awesome surprise , staff were sooo very accomidating even though the extent of our French was nervously mumbling je ne comprand pas francais (still not sure) but what an experience we had ! The fish was battered and fried to perfection. The chips were fantastic and perfectly cooked golden brown. You can tell they watch their oil temps and times closely and you can taste it too! Service was fast and with a smile. Also the restaurant is beautiful and CLEAN it’s a great space providing a fast friendly and delicious dining experience. It was very easy to see how much the staff and management cared. This visit was not planned but it may be my favorite meal of our trip!
