After 48 years of service The Bristol is closing it’s doors. I proposed to my wife here. Having said that, they’re phoning it in at this point. I had to get water for my wife n I. The food was meh at best.

The atmosphere is okay I loved their bar which is beautiful but I feel like table cloths and framed menus could really make it feel more classy. They do have candle lit dinner which is a plus. I personally loved my salad and was a good portion size. The fish tacos were not a favorite. This place definitely has a lot of potential!

I ordered the chicken spinach salad But I got salmon on it. I paid over $20 for this salad and the piece of salmon that they put on. It was definitely not worth the money. The little piece of fish they could’ve kept that.

Immediately sat down at the bar. Got a seasonal drink that was girly and a bit too sweet, but was cool bc it changed colors! I think it was called a witch’s brew. Bartender was dressed up as a clown and was very friendly!

Wow had a great time at Bristol Bar & Grille I was there for a short period and I ordered the wontons (4,6,8) and yes yes yes yes you have to get the sweet tai chilli sauce on the side and dip them right away!!!The menu looks really good I’m excited to come back, especially an establishment that’s been around since 1977 if you live in the area or passing by from my expertise it’s a good idea to stop in.

My husband and I went for the first time on Valentine’s Day. I heard good things in the past. We knew there would be a wait so that alone wasn’t the problem.

Our server was young and hadn’t been serving long but she was really nice. She was honest with us. Told us our food would take awhile and that the kitchen was slammed. We didn’t mind as our appetizers were good and we ordered some drinks that were good. She brought us bread but told us they were running out of butter. I didn’t mind because you could look around and see they were packed.

We get our entrees after about an hour and a half. My husbands surf and turf was not edible. The steak was tough and according to him it tasted like it had been out waiting for a long time. My food was burnt but since we were asking for reimbursement on my husbands meal, and the waitress was upset to see we were disappointed, I didn’t have the heart to tell her I didn’t like mine either.

She gets her manager to address my husband’s meal and it felt like the manager tried to argue my husband down about his meal. I had every intention of going back to give them another chance until this happened. If you know your kitchen is having a hard time and you get a customer who tells you their food is unsatisfactory why would you try to argue them down? We won’t be back.

I gave the service 5 stars based on our experience with the server alone. The manager and whoever cooked our food get 0 stars. The Caesar salad was good though.

This restaurant has been a staple of Louisville for so long. The food is amazing, the staff is superb, and the ambiance is unforgettable. Our anniversary spot year after year. So sad that they are closing. By the way Felix will always make you feel invited and welcome.

Went here for the Father’s Day brunch! Loved being greeted by live music when I came in, the saxophone player was a nice addition to the scenery.

The food itself was fantastic and plentiful, really liked the cinnamony crispy fruity dish they had and the sausage links were delicious! Loved all the protein options, I had a fried chicken thigh, but the fish looked great too. The fruit table in the middle had some great pineapple and melon, and the dessert table was also packed with good stuff.

The buffet line could have been organized a little better – the line started back where the waffles were, but the plates weren’t until after the waffle station. It’s awkward to reach between people in line to get a plate, then get back into the line to wait for the waffles if you want them. Also, the staff were constantly having to navigate between customers in line, requiring us to navigate with them in response. I don’t fault the staff for that! But maybe just more clearly delineated signs and/or instructions and plate placement would improve the experience.

The service was top-notch, our server kept our drinks filled and was very attentive, which was impressive given that she was also bartending! Definitely tip your servers well folks, they work very hard and do a great job.

Great place to take the family for brunch! A little on the pricier end but worth it for a special occasion.

Had the Bristol Fish sandwich, white chili, and pretzel bites with Benedictine sauce & brown mustard. Our server, Nafeesa, was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant vibe was classy & chill, and the menu options plentiful. Within walking distance to many Louisville attractions & hotels. Two thumbs up, highly recommend!
