Just realized they had food recently. Usually here after hours when its rowdy (And yes it does get rowdy sometimes)
Had the dry rub wings recently and came back a few days later to have them again. Vibe is fun, borderline diver but upperclassmen debonair with the refined gambling and gaming machines. Summer time the back deck is packed and during football season you can roast and toast the competition (burning some mascots out back) if the mood strikes the staff 🙂 stop in and enjoy it. Its a fun time and a Middleton staple.

great bar food. great beers on tap and the decor and all the wood are Beautiful. this is a great place. but the two stars ultimately came down to how LOUD it was and the clientele.
Met friends for a drink. we got a table. the music was already loud. like 8/10 loud. Just barely tolerable. But then someone decided to turn the music up to 11, to deafening levels and it was so loud my ears hurt and we couldn’t even pretend to hear each other. it was painful. this led to everyone in the bar screaming over each other and it just created a horrible atmosphere that made us had to leave. we did try moving to another table but everywhere we went it was so loud.
we’re not typically too sensitive to a place being loud but this got extreme.
I’ll come back, not on a Saturday night but unless you’re looking for frat party level screaming matches just to have a conversation id streer clear of this place.

Great bartenders and drinks, anything fried is very good. Burgers over cooked despite asking medium (they asked not us). Bun for burger is a chewy Kaiser roll, would not recommend. We love this place when in Middleton but the food on this visit was disappointing.

My first time here- I love that there is a sand volleyball court. There was a game going on and it was great to be able to watch it while I waited for my food. The indoor dining has large doors that open into a patio which overlooks the sand volleyball court. I’ve been to bars before where the outside seating isn’t as integrated and so I really appreciated this about Bristle Boar Saloon.
I ordered a (spicy) Bloody Mary which would have been nice if it had have more garnish, there was only an olive and a pickled pepper. Unfortunately, it also wasn’t spicy at all otherwise, as far as taste and alcohol content goes though, I am pleased in those categories. For food, I ordered the boar’s breath burger. It has possibly become one of my top 5 favorite burgers of all time. I didn’t have to add anything to it. My friends and I also shared some chicken tenders… which I was really impressed with. They were phenomenal!

Great bar. Quick and easy service to get drinks. Great music playing on jukebox. Pool tables were on free when we were there but are a little steep at $1.50 a game normally. 2 golden tee machines, 2 dart boards. Outdoor volleyball. Fries were good but the food is just prefrontal and cooked. Will go again. People were all personable and didn’t treat us as outsiders.
