We had a lovely family dinner at Briskit. The service was a highlight – warm and just the right amount of attentive. We had the shareable platter to try, with smokey wings, fried cauliflower, fried mac and cheese, and garlic bread, which was a delicious start. We also had the ribs and brisket – both were quality cuts of meat. We found the cornbread delightfully surprising. In the end we were too full for dessert, but the dessert menu looks yum. Great family restaurant.

Went on a weekday and the food was great. Not too busy at all. I had a sharing platter with my daughter and it only came to 32.50. This platter had brisket. Next time, we’ll try the pulled pork.

What a gem in Georgetown! Fantastic BBQ spot with some creative items (try the torpedoes!) and very reasonable prices. And thanks for looking after the local Men’s hockey league on Tuesday nights! Great local spot!

Ordered takeout here tonight. I have to say this place fell way below my expectations. Came here after they first opened (dine-in) snd the food was very good! Portion sizes were decent and the prices were good. However tonight it was a different story… to preface, we ordered 2lbs of wings, a bacon cheeseburger poutine, a southern fried chicken sandwich with fries, and a large side of onion rings.

Let’s start with the positives. The staff are great. I ordered takeout tonight and there was a slight delay in getting the order bagged, which the staff was super apologetic about. The wings were very good, definitely the best thing we had. The poutine was also good.

Now for the negatives, and unfortunately there are a few. The portion sizes have definitely shrunk since I was last here! My poutine was tiny! Considering I ordered it as an entree, it came in the same size container as the side of fries for the chicken sandwich. Sucks because it was so delicious! Just wish there was more!!!! Second is the price. The whole order (listed above) was $97! Insane!!!! The food was good but not THAT good. The onion rings were good, however again, very skimpy portions. Got about 12-14 onion rings in a large order. The chicken sandwich was just kind of meh, nothing to write home about, just average.

All in all, it’s great to have some variety in town, and as a lover of BBQ, it’s nice to have a family owned and operated spot. HOWEVER, I will not overpay for mediocre food and small portions just because they are locally owned and operated, I don’t mind paying a few extra $$ here and there, but $100 for wings, a poutine, and chicken sandwich and a side of onion rings is very steep. If the portion sizes were bigger then the price would definitely be more reasonable, but as it sits I’d have to say it’s not entirely worth the price.

I liked their Beef Brisket the fries were also pretty good. Their service is AMAZING, everyone was so nice, helpful and fast. They had live music and a great vibe.

The food is okay. The service was good. But I don’t think the quality of the food was something I’d ring home about. We tried the Brisketeer Platter, and the stuffed Yorkshire puddings.
The platter included a variety of items such as brisket, chicken, pulled pork, coleslaw, ribs, and a biscuit.

Food review:
The chicken was good, it tasted fresh and had a sweet bbq sauce glazed on it.

The ribs were fine, they had a good flavour.

The brisket was fairly disappointing considering this is the name of the joint. I found it to be quite dry and it tasted like it was made the day before.

The Mac and cheese was good very well but it didn’t have much of a flavour.

The yorkies smelled very yeasty and were a bit underdone, the filling with the mash and gravy was good.

Slaw was good.

Biscuit was dry.

My table mentioned that it’s a shame they didn’t have cornbread, which I think would be a good substitute.

Overall the place is okay, but could improve on quality and overall freshness/ flavour. I don’t think it’s something that beats going to a rib fest, but with some improvements it might be comparable.

If you’re interested in trying the place, take a shot and see what you think of it.

Great experience. Food was tasty and plentiful. Brisket is excellent. My 4 year old grandson loved the brisket as well. Server treated everyone with respect and laughter. Great time. We will be back.

Disappointing experience. We were overcharged on drinks, told not to order certain items, and the sandwiches were far below our expectation. My friend didn’t like the French onion soup and told the server — it wasn’t removed from the bill, and the replacement Caesar salad that was ordered because they were still hungry was fully charged too! For the prices, the service and quality has to be better!

This was my first time here and I definitely admire the setting of where this restaurant is located. You can go for a nice stroll and check out what this town has to offer.

In terms of food, I ordered the 1lb Brisket, Mac & Cheese on the side with a Shirley Temple as a drink(MockTail). It also came with a slice of Garlic bread and coleslaw. I wasn’t a fan of the brisket, I think it’s missing something and I don’t think the BBQ sauce goes good with it. The beef itself is very plain. The coleslaw was a little more enjoyable, but it isn’t great.

However, The Mac & Cheese & garlic bread are really good though! Those two were definitely my favorites of all the dishes. The bread has a nice crispy texture to it with the right amount of garlic. The Mac is nice and tender and the taste of the cheese is yummy! The drink is also nice!

The waiter was new but he did the best he could to provide good service in which I was satisfied with! When he didn’t know the answer to a question, he was sure to ask his coworker for help. I only wish I knew his name to give him a shout-out!

I would come back here, but I would definitely try a new dish!

Great bbq hidden gem. Food was great, portion was generous and price was really good. Got the Brisketier and was more than enough for 2 people. Mac n cheese and coleslaw was amazing. Got served by Alex and he was super friendly and provided great service. They had live music as well so it was even better!
