If you’re looking for deeply smoked bbq with great southern flavors, this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for a locals hangout to support a friend’s business, this is all you. We chose this place because they boasted a beef rib. I was so very disappointed in the food. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. There are no words for the deviled eggs. They were salted and paprika-ed and that’s all I can say.
The fried green tomatoes-maybe my hopes were too high in an off season? They couldn’t have been freshly made, and if they were…wow. I was able to redeem them by adding salt and the sauce they came with had a nice flavor.
I ordered the beef rib with potato salad and baked beans. The beef rib was the lowest quality, fattiest, most flavorless piece of meat I’ve ever had. It wasn’t tender. If it weren’t for the sauce on the table, I wouldn’t have eaten what I did. The potatoes in the potato salad were a little hard and it was virtually flavorless. The best thing on my plate was the baked beans and that’s because they lent some flavor to the potato salad when I mixed the two. The brisket dinner that my husband got came with 2 very small pieces of brisket, and he ordered the Mac n cheese-which is supposedly award winning, and a salad. They asked him if he wanted everything on the salad (cheese, cucumbers, onions), but no mention of Fritos which were on the salad. Maybe we got the tail end of a bad batch of the Mac n cheese? It was flavorless with overcooked noodles. I did see someone else’s and it was piping hot with a cheese pull. My husband also ended up eating the majority of the beef rib, which is only because he was raised not to waste.
I seriously wanted to love it, but just couldn’t. I felt bad when someone came in and asked us if it was worth it and we just nodded and smiled.
I should’ve known when I wasn’t being hit by the smoke from a smoker on our way through the parking lot.
It’s a nice space with nice country charm and you can feel the locals support as they gather at the bar. And the servers are nice. That’s why there are 2 stars.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shane the owner and the food is solid. He was running a special with Burt ends and Mac n cheese. Food was great and I could resist getting dessert. Food is his passion and it shows.

I met the owner, Shane and knew right away that food is his passion. I was welcomed in and treated like family. This is some of the best and most delicious, brisket, chicken and ribs that I have ever had. I found my favorite new spot and cant wait to go back. 100/10 recommend! Go see Shane and see what true BBQ is! Thank you!

Wow! Not sure who is portioning out to go orders but for $20 you would think they would try to at least fill a container of Mac n cheese. The food is tasty and we have enjoyed the food many times. It only looks like we ate half of it before even taking one bite.

Its was a quiet Sunday afternoon on our visit and it was not busy at all. Quickly greeted and offered a table. Service was prompt and very friendly. The food was excellent and affordable. I could eat here every night if it wouldn’t make me weight 1000 pounds.

We were really looking forward to our first visit, but unfortunately the experience fell short. My son’s chicken tenders were burnt and very dry. I ordered the salmon, and it was cold—our server explained that they serve it cold, but it was honestly unpleasant. My other son enjoyed his brisket, but the fries that came with it were burnt.

We didn’t say anything at the moment, but I wasn’t able to finish my salmon ( gross) . I’m sharing this feedback kindly in hopes it helps improve future guests’ experience.

I like this restaurant and will definitely come back. Atmosphere is great. No frills, cozy, and a lot of people sitting at the bar who appeared to be regulars. The service was great, provided by the owner himself. We had the burnt ends, pulled pork sandwich, and brisket sandwich. Five stars for a great BBQ joint atmosphere and service, 4 stars for food. The food was good and I’m happy to eat there again and again. It’s not their fault that I’ve had the best brisket on the planet for comparison (Franklin BBQ, and Terry Blacks, both in Austin TX). Thanks for a really good lunch experience on a snowy day!

Looking for a place off the beaten path we decided to try Brisket. The food was very good. They had a nice selection of beers on draft. I liked the small saloon feel. None of the tables matched which I thought was cool.
The service was fine. I sampled the brisket, the corn, the macaroni and cheese, and the burger. The burger patty is a blend and it was wonderful. The let down was the macaroni, I was just expecting it to be the best I ever had and it was just good.
Definitely worth checking out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Brisket! This is my local choice for brisket and everything that goes with it. I live in Myrtle Beach and I think that the Hush puppies here are the best. Service is always great and the owner and server were so hospitable on my last visit, I felt like family. I always take guests here because the quality is very consistent. We usually go in between lunch and dinner to beat the crowd, but that is always the best time in a tourist town.

Very dissapointed. Ordered Brisket and got 2 pieces no bigger than thick sliced bacon. Maybe 3 oz. at most. Collard greens tasted like they were cooked in ocean water. Told the waitress about the greens, she said she would bring slaw instead. I was done eating before she mentioned it again. The owner asked how my dinner was on the way out. I told him what I experienced and he gave me a taste of another batch of greens. Which was better. He didn’t offer any compensation for a scrappy meal. By the way, I cant remember the last time I complained about food at a restaurant.
