Best wieners I’ve had! Especially the hot sausage. Quiet and fast service. Prices are crazy cheap. Wish there were more options for the hot dogs, but what was there was overflowing and good. The wedding soup was very good as well!

I’m not sure if I just always come at a bad time, or what it is, but every time I once again try the Hot Dog Shoppe on the way home from work I somehow get the saddest, most depressing fries I have ever seen. They are somehow simultaneously Burnt to heck, Undercooked, and soggy at the same time? I’m not even sure how you can do that but it’s almost impressive how bad it is! Literally, look at the photos attached to this review, somehow these are all from the same batch of fries! Only two stars because the people at the window are always nice. I don’t know why I keep giving this place another chance, I’d rather throw money in the McDonald’s drive through charity bucket, if I’m not going to get edible food anyways, at least then I would FEEL GOOD after it.

I’m from Florida but every time I’m in Butler I come here. Butler dogs are my favorite. The pickles were hard skinned last time I was in there so hard to bite through while on the hotdog. Still delicious though.

I stopped at the location in Butler. I have eaten here before and it wasn’t too bad. I’m not sure if they have gotten new management in the past year or two, but this place is terrible! I don’t knock a lot of places, but this one is particularly worth a mention.
I got the Butler dog (chili, onion, pickle). The buns were soggy. The dogs were tasteless. They were put together with no care. Very shoddy workmanship. I know. It’s a freakin’ hot dog! But a blind 2 year old could’ve done a better job.
Another thing that I noticed was the restroom facilities. There were no automatic faucets, soap, or paper towel dispenser. You had to touch everything! Even the toilet and urinal had to be touched to flush!
Never again.

I never thought this was a really good place for hot dogs. So I ordered 2 with chili, onions and cheese. Small fry and a Diet Pepsi. #1. The soda had an odd taste to it, like bad carbonation, or bad ice. So I say the drink tastes odd, they give me a new drink with no ice. Must be the ice that’s off. #2 the fries were shriveled up and put in a bag laiden with grease. #3, the chili on the hot dogs was so dark and burnt tasting and no onions! If I could give 1/2 star I would.
