My husband and I tried Bright Light Diner about 2 months ago and have become weekend regulars. Rosie, the owner, is very warm and friendly, and her team also exudes this attitude. The food is delicious and generous and there is a wide variety to choose from.

My husband loves the Western omelet and scrambled egg plates. He usually gets a box and has the second half the next day.

I like to experiment— so have tried some of the Mexican fare like the Caldo de Mariscos, and the waffle with strawberries. Also, guacamole was so good that I got some to go. Fresh and generous portion.

My husband says it’s his #1 place for breakfast!

A newer place opened up locally recently. My wife and my daughter went there prior to me. They said the food and coffee was good. So we had to go, everything was fantastic. Just wanted to give this local business a review as it’s deserved. Coffee was really good, in my opinion I don’t think breakfast without good coffee works. Need to have both.

Had an awesome dinner here last night – Chicken Francaise was tender and delicious and some of the best home made chicken soup I have had (shhh even better than my grandfathers!). Cool atmosphere, relaxed and could enjoy good company. The waiter was the sweetest kid and checked on us often. Seriously happy that they are near by in Plainville and HIGHLY recommend you try them. Their menu is HUGE and I can even get Belgian Waffles for dinner. –

Great Food and Even Better Service at Bright Light Diner

Service at Bright Light Diner was fantastic! The staff was fast, incredibly kind, and very attentive. Our waitress, Rosie, was an absolute sweetheart with a great sense of humor. She recommended a few options since there were so many to choose from, and I ended up going with the Steak and Cheese sandwich. The steak was juicy and tender, and my coffee cup was never empty—constantly refilled!

The interior is modern and fresh, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. I can’t wait to come back and try their burgers and burrito bowls. Best diner in the area by far!

Don’t be fooled by the 1-star reviews—most of the bad reviews were based on experiences during the busiest days, like the opening weekend.

Went to lunch with my mom. I had the chicken bacon wrap. My mom had fish tacos and chicken butternut squash soup. She said the soup was ok but she loved the tacos. My wrap was really good. Mom got hot tea and she got to pick what kind. I also got an Oreo milkshake to go which was delicious. The waitress was really friendly. It is very clean inside and looks nice. We will definitely be back again.

Bright Light Diner might be a little misleading in the “Diner” part of the name as it does not have traditional diner food (at least not for dinner). Service was super, super friendly. All food items were served very hot which was great. Beef Barley soup and Chicken Curry soup both tasted good. Pan Seared Salmon was a tad overcooked but had good flavor. Chicken Francese a little overpowered with lemon but a good size serving. Time to get food was a little slow like other reviews have mentioned.

Good food overall. Just really needs some seasoning …. There were no onions in my fried potatoes and not enough seasoning. The cheese sauce was some shredded cheese over the top of potatoes very little bit. I went back in to ask for cheese sauce they were able to accommodate but reality is I asked to go what if I had gotten all the way back home b4 getting into my food…. They never think of that. For the amount I spent there it should have been perfect no issues. Then when I asked for salt and pepper they didn’t have any of that to go either. They brought me a small container of salt and pepper from the kitchen. The food cost is good though. Not as expensive as usual places now a days. The inside was comfortable and they knew the menu when I asked questions about foods. No attitude when asking for advice. The girls are kind. They work hard to make sure everyone is special. It’s a new place and the parking is great. There is enough room to park anywhere and not have to worry. No to go menus. The inside was casual and newly remodeled I loved the ambiance. Beautiful menus something for everyone. And a specials menu too. We will be coming back.
