We stopped in for a cocktail and an appetizer. I had a classic old fashioned, Bridgewater Grille style, classic and recognizable with just enough originality to make it one I’d make it a point to have again. We ended up having two appetizers, shrimp cocktail and fried portobello mushrooms, both very good. We also had two cups of soup, Brunswick Stew and Clam Chowder. The Clam chowder is a house staple. A silky cream based broth with a Cajun twist. I’ve never had one quite like this. The chowder alone would bring me back. The soup of the day (dujour if you prefer) was Brunswick Stew, comfort in a cup! My wife had the salted caramel bread pudding. She ate every bite. Don’t get confused enter any door and find your way to the dinning room you won’t be disappointed.

Such a fun surprise to find a new (to us) place in Auburn to eat, enjoy a cocktail and have a pretty view! I had the buffalo Chicken wrap and it was delicious. The manager and the bartender were so kind and personable

I ordered the Kobe steak. When my plate was served it came out with just that slab of meat and a steak knife. No potatoes, no vegetables no garnish. The butter served with the bread was a solid frozen block. There was a option with the specials to order asparagus, i ask if I could add an additional asparagus to my bill with the kobe steak and she said no. Extra money charged for a house ceasar salad. Oh and we ordered cheesecake to go if it were for a bird the bird would have starved it was such a small piece for $9.00 .It was all just not acceptable.
I just ate at Paula’s on main over the weekend in fort wayne and spent $147.00 the meal was amazing. We will never return to Bridgewater.
