Nice bar and grill and connected to hotel we are staying at. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious and I had a side Caesar salad. Service was excellent and place has lots of windows and good views. The mozzarella sticks were delicious for appetizers. Would definitely go here again when in Valley City.

Despite having checked the ratings and reviews beforehand, our experience at this spot wasn’t quite as great as we had hoped. After a tiring 5-hour road trip, we were all incredibly hungry.

Considering the place had received good ratings, I assume we happened to visit on an off day. The staff seemed to be short-handed as well so that could be another reason for the off day.

The quality of the food was decent, although we had to wait for more than 25 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, the fries and curly fries were served cold. Additionally, one of our dishes was missing, resulting in a longer wait for our child’s mac ‘n’ cheese, which resembled the boxed variety.

Our waitress didn’t check on us until we were ready to settle the bill. While my chef salad was good, the turkey and avocado panini was just alright. I wasn’t a fan of the red sauce at the bottom and found myself wondering about its purpose.

Despite these issues, the place was busy.

So I ordered a burger. Safe food for middle of North Dakota. See the pic for description. One would figure a $11 burger would include a pickle or maybe a bit of iceberg lettuce. Nope. That’s extra. Really. I paid a buck for a piece of processed cheese and up charge for the onion rings. But not a pickle. So I ate my 1/3 # burger plain cause I will never eat here again and nor should you.
Edit:
See the last two pictures. That’s how a hamburger should look. Check out the menu description in the price. No deception and a bargain.

Comment:
I guess the owner of Bridges doesn’t realize that having a plain Jane burger on the menu is just wrong. Why would you have to plain hamburger and have to pay for the sides. I go to McDonald’s and I expect a pickle and some lettuce and possibly some onions. You’re selling an overpriced hamburger patty on a piece of bread. There’s no way that you can justify having that on your menu at that price. Shameless you are.

The food was incredible, I would highly recommend the reuben burger along with some onion rings. Genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The staff was really sweet and polite, food came out in a reasonable time. Very impressed. My grandma had the minestrone soup with the bacon avocado and turkey panini. Our plates were clean within minutes of arrival. Good stuff!!

My wife and I are in town for a wedding, and we decided to check this place out as it’s across from our hotel. Reasonably priced and great food. I had the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings, and she had the “Down South” burger with sweet potato fries, which were delicious dipped in their marshmallow sauce.

Had dinner here on a Sunday evening, around 6 pm. There was no available table, so they offered to clear one they were using to roll silverware into napkins. They quickly cleaned the table. I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap, which came with a choice of side. I chose curly fries. I was given a choice of grilled or crispy chicken and chose grilled. Food came out in less than 10 mins. Decent size wrap and just enough curly fries. Heinz ketchup at the table is always a plus. I gave the food 3 stars because of two things. The chicken portiin size was on the lighter side, and the Caesar dressing wasn’t really creamy, and not really enough to get a good taste. Other than that, it was a good experience at a fair price. The wrap with fries was $12.95, I don’t remember what the diet coke cost. I recommend you visit this establishment if you have the means. Have a great day!!! Update 12/6/23, second visit for dinner at the bar. I ordered a diet coke, side Caesar salad, extra dressing, and the boneless chicken bites “hot buffalo” and onion rings. This was plenty of food, see pics, for $24.95. Great service, food came out quickly and hot. Definitely recommend and as always, have a blessed day!!!

Came in, was relatively busy, not bad though. Ordered and waited around 50 minutes, server was only there for our drink order and food order. 3 of the tables that came in after us have been fed and recieved checks. Went to check and canceled everything at that point as there was no sign of our food still. Didn’t even offer to comp our drinks or anything. So paid $17 for one beer and 4 cups of tea. BTW, our order was a Cuban sandwich, with pulled pork being the special of the day, 3 fried items and a smash burger not hard to do.

This is one of my staple places to stop – my go-to is the Southwest Chicken Salad. Beth, Kennedy, and Ashley are the best. They’re always very prompt with their service and the food always comes out fresh and beautifully plated. Great place to dine.
