Had a sports banquet. Lowrr area clean. Food was good. Purchased the wraps from the catering menu. They were okay. They actually reminded me of pinwheels. We thought that they would be handhelds because that was the picture on the menu. So we ordered an extra tray when we didn’t need one. I did not care for the pork barbecue or chicken bbq, but the brisket was good. Traditional Wings and fries were great. The kids loved the boneless wings. They serve Dr P and root beer which is sometimes hard to find. The iced tea was good. The salad was rather hard to get out of the bowl. The bowl was a little too narrow and tapered down -which prevented you to get down to the lettuce -so the first couple of people got mostly shredded cheese with tomatoes and cucumbers. But it looked pretty. Downstairs bathroom is rather small but it was clean. Isaac was a great bartender and both he and Cassie did a great job accommodating our needs. Price of buffet reasonable. There is less parking behind the building then there used to be however we did not have a problem dropping off those individuals with mobility issues and just then moving cars up to the upper lot. We were there from 3:00 to 5:00 on a saturday. This may be difficult during peak times.

Love the Brickside. Always Great service and food. After a long horse ride they watered our horses for us and even scooped the poop. We enjoyed the conversation and atmosphere. The Gang is great. Robbie,Cassie,Alysse,Rachel,Brenda,Carla,Mia,Claudia,Katy and more. The Chef always makes my fries floppy just like I like them. The beer is cold and refillable. Thanks Brickside. Bobby and Alisa

We asked to be seated away fro. The bar area due to the noise level. We got a table in a room with one other group. Music was still loud a d the other party was obnoxiously loud (not the restaurants fault). It was just overstimulating after being in a loud environment all day.
App: brisket nachos. Brisket was very good. The nachos were house made kettle chips. Cole slaw on top. I didn’t care for the BBQ sauce
Meals: daughter got the salad with steak. Steak was juicy and tender but more medium-well than the requested medium. Husband got the BBQ sampler. He said “it was good but not great”. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, Cole slaw, and corn on the cob. I got the brickside smash burger with onion petals. Burger was juicy but the flavor was off. Not bad but just different. Almost like it had been in the fridge for a few days…still good but needs to be used up. Something I would throw spaghetti sauce on or use in chili just to not waste it.
Parking: large lots behind and to the side.
Staff: very kind and friendly. Waitress was attentive.
Overall, ok but I personally would not return if I had other options. I never complain at restaurants unless it is completely inedible.

Ample parking. Would have driven right by it had the GPS not gave me the devil as I nearly drove by. Happy to stop on a Sunday- You can tell this is a small business and is someone’s dream coming to fruition. ♡ the interior feels like it’s trying to be 2020 but being held back by 1990s idealism with trim work.

The place was clean and tidy, had a few locals who knew each other by name and a chill vibe. Chill quality. Chilly air conditioning. No, really… we shivered the entire time there, haha!

I ordered a beef brisket sandwich with house made chips. I received a phenomenal roll, grilled with oil or butter on the cut side and dry pulled pot roast thT felt like Thursday’s leftovers being served up sandwich side on Sunday afternoon for dinner. There was little to no meat, zero unctuous juicy or fat content and I’m dubious that this was ever brisket. If so, it died, rolled over in its grave and came back to life to try again. The amount of meat -to-roll ratio was… slim.
The house made chips were pretty okay! They were thick cut and home fried with a little salt. Pretty good!

My travel partner got a chicken and baked potato combo who advised that the chicken also was dry and unseasoned. The baked potato: I asked him if he thought that it was actually baked, or microwaved. We were undecided at first…. until we each took a bite. (Mind you, it was literally a potato cut in half. No butter, no nice service… just a split spud. He asked for butter in hopes to breathe any life back into it.) Alas, it’s dry and crusty layers had been steamed beyond recognition and left a once-burnt, now soggy bitter layer to its Friday’s cook time, still being served on Sunday. R. I. P.

Would I come again? If I needed a social atmosphere for drinks, yes. I’d ask to speak to the chef and find out what is actually fresh in the kitchen first, then order THAT if I were coming back for food.

The servers and bar help were friendly in person, but seemed more interested in getting the place closed down for the night to get out. Trust me, every food service feels that way at the end of a shift… but it takes very little effort to keep that conversation 100% off of the sales floor, and away from customers.

To the owners: You’ve got a real good thing going here, but a swap of un-invested employees will grow your business exponentially.

We looked for an alternative to chain restaurants and found good reviews here. That’s where it went downhill. To be fair, it was after a football game in Mo’town and I usually give very favorable reviews. BUT, it took 20 minutes to order. 3-4 of 8 of our meals came out wrong. Our 6 yo never got her meal. My wife’s meal finally came out as some of us finished our meal that had to be traded around to eat something to taste. Then to finish the ordeal after 2 hours, there was a 20% tip added for the worst service in a long time. Won’t be back.

Visiting Fairmont and like to eat local whenever possible. I chose this place for their location and for being a local establishment. Google shows their hours as being open until 11pm. As soon as I walked in, at 9:15pm, I was rushed to make a menu choice as the grill was closing at 9:30. Ordering an appetizer of crab dip, brisket mac & cheese, and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. The food was fair, the salad was served with no dressing, and the staff was in a hurry to get the surrounding areas cleaned and closed for the night, in addition to hurrying my table out the door. Terrible experience.

Steak was well don when ordered medium and was cold—as well as the baked potato. Salad had brown lettuce and frozen cukes in it. Extremely horrible meal, which I ate because I was starving. I will never go back
