Brickmakers Cafe is thrilled to now be open. Inside seating is available. Brickmakers Café is a casual waterfront dining experience. Come sit by the water and enjoy lunch or dinner featuring fresh, local favorites. Named for the brick kilns that used to line the riverbank, these beehive brick kilns produced the brick used to build many of the structures in Washington D.C. One beehive brick kiln remains at the park, serving as a reminder of the rich history of the area.

Wonderful location overlooking the Occoquan River. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Nice small varied menu with sandwiches, salads, grilled meats and seafood fare. My salad was fresh and delicious. The river view was so peaceful. Lots of free parking , boat launch below Café. Come relax and enjoy.

Looking for a place for lunch today, we happened in to Brickmakers Cafe, which is at the Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton, VA. At Brickmakers, you order at the front, and they give you a pager. Then when your pager goes off, you pick up your food at the front counter.

The burger was delicious and juicy and i was happy that they used cheddar cheese… was craving that specifically for some reason. It actually came with 2 burger patties! Didn’t quite have that backyard grill flavor that I’m craving, but it hit the spot! The fries were so-so, which is why i brought my own chips. I’ve been picky about fries lately. The view is wonderful… definitely want to return to try some other dishes!

The food here is overpriced and staff do not provide complete information about the dish. The popcorn shirmp is a disappointment. It has 6 to 8 extra small shrimp with french fries for $16. So basically I spent 16 on french fries.

I visited Brickmaker’s Cafe for the first time today and I am so glad I did. I sat at an outside table overlooking the water. Every table had an umbrella so I got to enjoy being outside without sitting directly in the sun. It was so relaxing!
