Stopped by while on vacation and it was so good that I just had to give it a second go while on the same trip. Service and Food were both excellent but I especially had an appetite for their excellent hotcakes and sausage pepper gravy.

People reviewing this restaurant talk about the mac-n-cheese and now I know why. Everything we ate was top notch good ole down home country cooking. Fried chicken was golden brown seasoned and cooked to perfection, green beans hot and delicious, mac-n-cheese was very cheesy. I had peach cobbler, also perfect not to sweet and golden brown. They could use more help with the wait staff, the poor woman was running around like a chicken with it’s head chopped off. Also the restaurant and rest room was very clean.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and they had an amazing buffet. Fried chicken, Meatloaf, Mac n cheese, rice, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a great salad bar. The peach cobbler and banana pudding were great too. Would recommend to anyone.

We stopped in to grab a bite from the all you can eat bar. I got sweet tea with lemon and my partner had lemonade. The food was good but when my partner got seconds not 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant he got so sleepy he couldn’t hold his head up. I couldn’t wake him up and he couldn’t participate in anything we wanted to do that day.

The food was great, prices were reasonable, our service was friendly & efficient! Local patrons were friendly & polite. The building is clean inside & has a comfortable feeling. It is just like the name, only it is a red brick house. A good location, right on US 301, in Folkston! I will make this restaurant a definite stop!

Another total edit. My original review was not to kind. Took a chance yesterday and went for breakfast. Ordered 2 over medium eggs, hash browns, sausage links, a biscuit and a coffee. The food was perfect. Eggs were a spot on over medium and still hot. Sausage was great, hash browns delicious and cooked to nice crisp on the outside. Coffee needs work. Our server was very good, but never offered me a refill of coffee – not that I wanted it. Would be 5 stars except for those 2 minor complaints. Avoid the buffet. Ask for a menu and order off it.
