We happened across this place on a cross country trip. Really great vibes, simple menu really delicious food. We both got burgers and they were tasty and hot. Prices were very reasonable.

Great place to have lunch with co-workers and enjoy a great meal. I arrived around 12:30 and there were roughly a dozen people having lunch with a couple fella’s at the bar enjoying the deer hunting show while eating some nachos and a cold beer. Looks like there are two sections to this place, I sat in the front at a tall table made for four. The barstools were solid, not overly comfortable, but did the job for a 30 minute stay. I had the Steve on a pretzel bun and made it a double with french fires and Iced tea. Service was perfect and my tea arrived seconds after I put in my order. They do have guest wifi, but remember to ask for the current paswword to gain access. My food arrived in about 5-8 minutes and I was pleasently suprised to see the patties were hand formed and cooked perfectly. The server checked back in with me twice to make sure all was going good and if I needed anything else. Before tip my total was about $15, very resonable for the quality, speed and level of service provided. Drop a twenty and tell the server to keep the change. Go by when your hungry and give them a try. I know I will be going back soon.

I came for a late lunch. Not many people in there , but server helped us right away and took our food order immediately. Food came out quick but not too quick. Fries were incredible. Nice seasoning on them and tasted real. Burger was awesome. Really cooked well high quality meat and a toasty bun. Very very good meal. Would recommend 10/10. Will be back if ever in toutopolis.

What an amazing find! We headed east out of Effingham and found this great restaurant/bar. The staff was super friendly. Food was amazing. And, the place was packed with locals over the lunch hour. Our server was happy to share the establishment’s history with us! We enjoyed tenderloins and nachos.

The place looked great, staff was friendly, the burger I had was awesome (I’m a sucker for pretzel buns). Only qualm I had was that the fries were a bit dry, but they had great seasoning and a little ketchup was a fine enough remedy.

This place always has the best prices, a classic bar, really good waitresses, the owner is a great guy, awesome outdoor area for a band with a porch as well, and it’s always filled with attractive women! Check um out!

Excellent small town bar. Can get a little crowded on the weekend but it has an outstanding beer garden which makes the limited indoor space a non issue 9 months of the year or. Definitely make certain it’s warm enough for you to spend your evening under the stars before planning a gathering or bundle up and bring some firewood. Not sure they “allow” open fire pits but it is T-Town and well… those who know, know.

“Steak night” is Wednesday evenings. Been there twice for steaks, once in September and once in November. Each time I had absolutely delicious steak. Great value too. Been there for burgers and they are good too, as are the fries. They don’t accept credit cards (I suggested “Square”) so bring cash and enjoy!
