Brick Street Coffee is a gem in Minden. I ordered a vanilla latte, and what impressed me most was how well the espresso cut through the milk and syrup. You could actually taste the coffee first, with the vanilla complementing it instead of overpowering it. The milk was textured well and the drink felt balanced and intentional.

The food was just as good. I had the biscuits & gravy, my wife ordered a biscuit sandwich, and my son had the scrambled egg bowl. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well made. It’s not just a coffee stop, it’s a great breakfast spot too.

The owner was incredibly kind as well. We accidentally sat upstairs near the roaster in what turned out to be an employee-only area (we missed the small sign), and he graciously assured us it was completely fine. That level of hospitality really stood out.

You can tell they care about quality and about people. We’ll definitely be back.

Definitely will try some of their fresh roasted Barnyard Coffee beans up front! Been pulling my own espresso for nearly five years now and will definitely grab a bag or two next time I’m in.

First off, let me say that a friend and I drove from Houston to Minden JUST to visit Brick Street. I have been a customer of Barnyard Coffee for about five years and had wanted to see their new shop in person.
I was expecting to like Debbie and Derek’s café. I didn’t expect to love it!
From the history of the building, to the coffee, to the food, to the friendly service – we loved it all.

We started out the day with Avocado toast + egg and a drip coffee with honey and splash of almond milk. I knew I’d enjoy the coffee, which I did. But okay, this was honestly the best Avo toast I’ve ever had (and I have it quite often).
We headed out to explore Minden – a little gem of a town that was quite unexpected.
Then we returned Brick Street to pick up my coffee subscription order and well, why not just stay for lunch?!
I had the house make Chicken Salad Sandwich on their house made bread. Again, can honestly say – the best I’ve had.

Before leaving, we took two of Debbie’s own hand made Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast the next with a cup of Barnyard.
Again, the best Cinnamon Rolls everrrr.

Minden is lucky this sweet, hardworking family moved to their community and opened this beautiful cafe. So sad I am 3.5 hrs away from enjoying the best food and coffee in a cool space on the daily.

Such a cute place! I’m surprised this is in Minden. They should open a location in Shreveport. I’m used to Rhino coffee, which I feel has gone down in quality in the past year. This coffee was freshly roasted, not bitter or old tasting. The ratio of milk: espresso in my iced latte was by far one of the best I’ve had at a coffee shop. Their small has 2 shots, medium has 4 shots. Rarely do coffee shops have more shots in the medium than the small iced latte, which doesn’t make sense to me. It was an amazing creamy, rich iced latte that blows the coffee shops in Shreveport out of the water. You could tell they care about their quality, they used organic milk and their pastry bags were wax coated so the butter from my croissant didn’t leak out of the bag. I also got an almond croissant, which was warmed. It was crunchy and sweet on top and had a nice almond paste inside. Didn’t get a pic before I ate it all! Employees were super friendly and everyone was chit chatting inside with customers. Wish we had something as good in Shreveport!

If you’re passing by the area I would absolutely recommend straying from the beaten path! The drinks and food are amazing! The atmosphere is giving the vibe of old fashioned coffee warehouse meets store front. All of the staff have been nice and helpful. The pricing is fair for what you get. On my visit we got a caramel macchiato, iced matcha latte, avocado toast with feta, bacon, an everything bagel seasoning, and a breakfast burrito with egg and sausage.

My girls and I take a mother-daughter trip each year. We have ordered coffee from the owners of Brick Street for years, and we decided to go to Minden where they’re based, stay in the Spanish Villas, and enjoy small town life for a few days. We loved the transformation from the old hardware store to the gorgeous, unique, timeless coffee house it is today! The staff at Brick Street was so sweet & accommodating! I messaged ahead of time, due to my gluten free dietary needs and Debbie not only made blueberry scones for us, she also picked up a loaf of GF bread in Shreveport to make us an Avocado Toast Breakfast that was amazing!!
This is the ONLY coffee I can drink that doesn’t hurt my stomach or make me feel jittery. Derek is a genius at the roaster. Debbie only uses flavorings in the roasting that don’t have propylene glycol, which is in most all flavored coffees you’ll find in the market. I drove over four hours to visit Brick Street! If you’re closer than that, what’s stopping you? Also, consider ordering coffee from their online brand Barnyard Coffee to your home! Love Debbie and her family! They’re the sweetest!

Every time I walk into Brick Street, it’s like going back in time. The delicious, savory smells of the baked goods and rich coffee greet you alongside friendly staff. The food is absolutely delicious. I’ve not had one thing that isn’t amazing. Their coffee is superb, my sister even drives in often from Shreveport to snag a bag of their coffee beans, it’s just that good. The staff are always very helpful, friendly and so joyful to be around. The atmosphere can be overstimulating at times just because they have so much business, but overall it’s a fun place to frequent and load up on coffee and food. 10/10 recommend!

Brick Street Coffee is an absolute gem! Nestled inside a beautiful historic building, the atmosphere alone makes it worth the visit. The pastries are made completely from scratch and were absolutely delicious. The coffee — made from beans roasted in the same building — was rich, smooth, and perfectly crafted. What truly sets it apart is the warm, friendly service that makes you feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back!

Brick Street Coffee (and Barnyard Coffee Roasters) is one of those rare local gems that just feels right the moment you walk through the door. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and full of character — from the inviting aroma of freshly roasted beans to the rustic charm that makes you want to sit and stay awhile.

The staff here truly set this place apart. They’re kind, genuine, and always greet you with a smile that instantly makes your day a little brighter — and the caffeine doesn’t hurt either! You can tell they love what they do, and that energy carries through every cup they serve.

Their coffee is exceptional — rich, smooth, and roasted in-house with care by Barnyard Coffee Roasters. Whether you’re stopping in for your morning brew, hanging out with friends, or grabbing a bag of beans to take home, you’re getting something crafted with pride.

If you’re ever in Minden, this spot is a must. Great people, great coffee, and a vibe that feels like home. ☕️❤️

The best coffee shop in north Louisiana, and the best shop I have ever been to. The coffee is wonderful and fresh. The food is phenomenal. Speciality items melded with that homemade feel set their food apart from other establishments.
The staff are kind and pleasant. Smiling faces even when they are slammed…. And they do get slammed! But be patient, it’s worth it. Come in to Brick Street to relax a bit, leave everything on your mind outside and have something warm and satisfying!
