I was recommended this pub by so many people. I was in DT Decatur with some friends, my wife, and brother after my birthday dinner, and wanted a place to go, to continue the fun. Brick Store was literally not even 100 feet from where we went for dinner, Iberian Pig.

We went upstairs to have a drink. The vibes are super cool inside this pub! In my opinion, this might be one of the best beer pubs that I have ever been to. The upstairs feels very rustic and almost like you’re in a castle of some sort. In true fashion, of course I got a glass of Guinness. It was perfect!

Our server was super friendly and very attentive. She even provided some suggestions based on what the others were looking for. Her name was Olivia!

Brick Store also has a full food menu too, but we just came for drinks. The food menu is tradiitonal pub type food, so fish and chips, chicken pot pie, etc. It honestly looked really good!

I will definitely be back here in the future!!

1st and last time here. I heard they’ve been in existence since 1997, and even bought out the space that occupied Sweet Melissa’s. They clearly have a dedicated customer base, but as for us, it’s a one and done!

We got seated quickly, but it literally took 14 minutes for a server to come over and that was AFTER my husband flagged somebody down. The restaurant was not that busy. Once the server got to us, she was nice and very knowledgeable of their menu, which in my opinion, is poorly developed. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan RUN! Do NOT eat here!!! All of their soups have some sort of meat in it. Who does that?? And the only vegetarian/vegan option presented to us was a hummus based item and cornbread. Although we eat meat, we don’t pork and I’m allergic to seafood. I’m still trying to figure out why they feel sausage has to go in a vegetable soup with no option to get it without sausage?? We did order the cornbread, and that was definitely good. Everything else was bad. Their chicken wings tasted like they came from the frozen meat section of Publix and their burger tasted like a pre-packaged, reheated patty instead of a fresh one. It was nasty!

Considering their drink menu, which is very broad, I think this might be what they’re popular for. As far as the food, I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole. It’s garbage.

A little taste of England when we ordered the fish and chips. Finished off with a cup of Earl Grey tea. A very enjoyable evening.

Fantastic beer bar with an interesting old-school atmosphere and a solid food menu. Some of the food (salmon pasta) was a it greasy, but that’s the only real complaint. Wait staff was super friendly, helpful, and responsive. Beer menu is among the best in the country. Wish I lived closer.

Mid-week getaway at the Belgium Bar in the heart of Decatur! Incredible vibes, mouthwatering food rated 10/10, and a perfectly poured Guinness champion!

I LOVED my experience here: food was great, ambiance was cozy and the people were the best! Don’t let the “pub” part deter you. I’m not normally a huge fan of a “pub” but the menu looked great and when I stopped a server (Jared) on the patio to ask a few questions before dining here, he was warm and kind and happy to help. I dined at the bar with Jordan and she was so genuinely sweet, caring and happy. Sarah, the manager, runs the place with an ease and bustling joy, you can’t help but see the magic in the air. The people love working there and it shows! I also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner for a bit and I can see why they’ve been successful, he cares for his people. If I were not visiting from out of town, this would become a regular spot of mine for sure! And they just opened up their private event space, how cool!

In case it matters: I had the Trout dish, perfectly cooked crispy skin on trout fillet. Lovely puree and arugula citrus salad. YUM! Flourless chocolate cake hit the spot and the “Tittle Pop” popcorn is a yummy snack as well!

Visited this charming place on a recommendation. If you’re at a place that calls itself a pub, you gotta go for the fish n chips and it did not disappoint. The chicken pot pie is hearty and comforting. Great service and great selection of beer. Recommend without hesitation.

Food was remarkably good especially for a place which seems to be beer-focused. The beer was also excellent!! Loved the holiday beer menu and the 6 oz pours. That was the perfect amount for tasting. Service was cheerful, friendly, attentive, and all servers helped each other so we never felt ignored by any staff! But WILLARD was our main server and he was the bomb. He gave us killer food and beer recommendations. And the atmosphere is awesome. No TVs, no loud music, perfect lighting, just extremely good vibes!!! I need to come here more often!!!
