The Reuben was amazingly lean and juicy, so good. Hubby said the filet salad was one of the best he has ever had. Fresh raspberry tea and the Louis Armstrong were yummy and refreshing on a hot July afternoon. Will definitely go back next time we are in Skowhegan.

Food is always amazing and Tilly the puppy is always so cute and sweet! I got half avocado half mushroom with the soup of the day (asparagus and wild rice), he got the taco wrap. I got a hot tea jasmine tea and a drink I forgot the full name i think it was Charlie Chaplin but it was good (quite bitter but very good)! Thank you again for another wonderful experience

Always good sandwiches and tasty soups! My favorite is the chicken sandwich with the roasted red pepper sauce. I wish they would sell the sauce! So very yummy!!

I had a beautiful lunch here. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food and coffee was great and they made me a “London Fog” tea which was really delicious. I couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Cute restaurant. Love the house dog. Very well trained. My order was placed wrong but easily fixed. It was spectacular. I had the gluten-free veggie Flatbread pizza. My husband had the taco wrap which he loved as well. Portion wise the servings are big (enough for two or to take some home). Very nice place if you are looking for something more on the healthy side (which is harder to find now).
Highly recommend if you are near this location. Sad to see the “for sale” sign on it. Hope more people visit so that they can stay open.

I had a chance to catch lunch at the Brickhouse Kitchen this week, I was not disappointed! They had mango habanero wings on special so I tried them along with their famous steak sandwich. The wings were the best I’ve had in a long time and by far the best in town! The signature steak sandwich was like the sandwich you make with the Christmas prime rib roast. Tender beef on a toasted roll with a delicious horseradish sauce, just fantastic!

Absolutely gorgeous aesthetic and nice outdoor area in the lawn.
Famous Steak Sandwich felt completely underwhelming for the price. Additionally the roast beef was cut so thick, that I felt like I was reassembling my sandwich repeatedly just trying to chew through it. While also lacking in flavor, except for the garlic cream cheese.
Not sure how a place like this is priced so poorly for its food. The aesthetic certainly warrants no up charge (~37 for two SMALL underwhelming sandwiches).
Who knows, maybe it was a bad day – but it will likely be a long time before I retry this location. Sad too, not many places feel as cozy as it did.

These are the nicest people around, from the minute you enter the house which is beautiful I might add you are greeted and feel welcomed. The individual rooms are a plus and the sandwich soup menu with pizza included is phenomenal. Six of us ladies had the soup and sandwich half and were so full when we left. The desserts looked amazing also. We will return, definitely for another great lunch . Tilly the black lab is also the calmest black lab I have ever met. Such warmth to the whole atmosphere

Had family here from Florida and we went for lunch. I’ve always loved the food here but this time was so much more!!! I advised staff that my uncle has cancer and has a hard time swallowing she made him mashed potatoes and a hamburger gravy so he could eat. She went above and beyond and made something they don’t even have on the menu. I will never forget the kindness and compassion.
