Many of our taps are year round favorites, but a large majority are rotating taps that feature craft brews from smaller breweries around the region and country. With a 64 foot butcher block bar top, comfortable seating, and a relaxing atmosphere, Brick & Barley is a great spot for lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late night entertainment.

The food was fine, the shrimp was better than the pasta. Sadly, the pasta didn’t have much of Cajun flavor. It was more of Alfredo. The chicken was cooked fine but it also had no flavor. The shrimp was good and had a good coconut flavor to it.
The service was fine. It wasn’t a standout type of experience but it wasn’t bad. Overall, if you like beer and gambling, I would recommend it. I would try it again but just order something else. The waitress said they are known for pizza so maybe I would try that instead.

My goodness order that steak (if you like gorgonzolla) it’s phenomenal! Music was a good volume, lighting was good. Open concept feels inviting. Plenty of drink options, I had the “Fuzzy Pink Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows “, which is a sour and quite nice. Truffle fries were a good start to the meal.

One of the better bars to go to in Downtown Grand Forks. Most of their food is made freshly made, not frozen. Our favorites are the Mac N Cheese Bites, & the Crab Cakes. Their Black Truffle & Parmesan fries are wonderful as well!
Staff is friendly & easy to flag down if needed.

It’s become a regular place for us to visit. Staff is always friendly & the food has never missed the mark. We’ve gotten the Honey Garlic Chicken on a previous visit & the Honey Garlic Salmon on our most recent visit (we had them sub in the cilantro rice & add avocado). Both are phenomenal & makes me want to try everything on the menu.

No Hurley beer on tap was disappointing.
Seat yourself and serve yourself! We found a table and waited for a while and finally went and ordered food at the bar. Food came with no napkins, plates or silverware. I had to go back up to the bar and get them myself.
Luckily the food did come quickly in 10 minutes and it was good. The poutine was our favorite. Nice dark gravy and good cheese curds topping the fries. Cheese curds were breaded which is a bit unusual for a traditional poutine, but they were delicious!
The homemade Salsa was a hot medium. Great if you like your salsa hot.

Leaving this review for Rueben the security guard. The service & food of the staff including the black jack dealers was great. I would give Rueben a -5 if I could, kicked out person with 0 warning over vaping. Stated it was a state law to out of towners. Apologized and tried to be cordial but he wasn’t having it. If Rueben is there AVOID.
To add on, Rueben did not let the person pay their tab prior to exiting. Bar staff had to ask Rueben to allow the person to pay the tab. All it took to resolve the issue was a warning.

Walked by the restaurant and never stopped until today. Wanted something different and was surprised lunch wasn’t being served at noon, but breakfast was. Our server said they had a great breakfast and he was right. The breakfast poutine was tasty and the fries remained crisp. The chicken & Waffles was a surprise. The waffles were crunch on the outside and tender inside. They held up to the syrup very nicely. The chicken tender were made from a chicken breast, lightly seasoned and juicy. Our breakfast was a hit. We’ll be back to try lunch, the truffle parmesean fries are calling our name. UPDATE July 7th, finally got a chance to have lunch and try the truffle fries. YES, they are that good, these fries are the benchmark for what fry should be. Crunchy, good truffle flavor and a good parmesan cheese, everything in perfect balance. The burgers were fantastic, to me the best in town. The garlic aioli cheeseburger with arugula was perfectly done and flavorable. The maple bacon sriracha burger was my personal favorite, not over powering and the bacon was crisp and packed with flavor. It’s a must try stop! OCT 20th, just can’t get enough of the pamesean truffle fries. You won’t eat plain old fries again. The queso burger was fantastic. Very flavorable and the queso was well balanced. The poutine was outstanding and had great taste. I like going in Sunday mornings and you can pick either breakfast or lunch. UPDATE: Mar 2nd, another great meal. The huevos ranchero was flavor packed and a good surprise and the corned beef hash is one of best in town. What can I say about the truffles fries, they are addictive. MAY 4TH, the breakfast tacos are awesome. Flavor packed and yummy. I enjoyed the crunch on the tortilla, just right. Again, if you haven’t tried the truffle fries, you dont know what you are missing.

Ordered the NYE take-out adult happy meals with prime rib. The food was absolutely incredible! The cookies are one-of-a-kind incredibly good! Had a bit of a snag with pick-up timing and missing items, but when I reached out about the problem they came thru immediately with an above and beyond level of customer service. We can’t wait to visit in person again in 2021 when things with the pandemic have settled down again somewhat. Can’t go wrong with somewhere so dedicated to a positive customer experience!

We were looking to watch the hockey game and they quickly made it happen. The server was great, the men were sampling beers and she was patient with us. The kitchen made a mistake on my special order and it took way longer than they expected but I was impressed when the check came they didn’t charge us for it. Really appreciated them going above and beyond.

Brick & Barley is always a great stop for after work happy hour. They have great happy hour special as well as nightly specials. Menu has a nice variety on it and their drinks are always great. They make the best Bulldogs in town so definitely order one of those! Also, their fries are absolutely amazing, order yourself a basket no matter what with a side of their house made dill ranch!!
