I was just there today for the first time . I started with atol de elote ( a hot drink made mostly of corn ) , one chicharrón pupusa and carne guisada, it comes with rice and tortillas . It was very good .
The place is unassuming , small mom and pop

Puro masa. The quality on todays pupusas were not good, im sorry but this is like thick tortillas, hardly no filling.

Awesome flavors in the pupusas which is the main dish that El Salvador is known for. I’ve had pupusas in different locations my favorite being the revueltas (mixed w/chicharron [fried pork] and cheese) most places as good as they are but other ingredients added to the grounded pork mix takes away the flavor of the pork, but here? I can definitely taste the chicharron flavor which makes it much more delicious. And the lady who took the order was the sweetest lady which I’m assuming must be the owner.
Definitely coming back whenever I’m around prov.

A wonderful place with delicious food and friendly staff. I’ve been multiple times and have never left disappointed. The pastelitos are lovely, and the pupusas are almost as good as my friend Rhina’s 🙂

I read other reviews and they are wrong! The pupusas here are diluted of flavor. The curtido and salsa are not made right. Anybody who likes these pupusas has never had real ones. Im pretty sure they use the cheapest ingredients they can get and do not take the time to perfect the recipes. I would love to help out small businesses like these, specially because they are representing my country but honestly, iits hard to when they dont step up to the plate and provide great service and food. This is my second time giving it a chance and will never return.

Just to let you know, I don’t speak much Spanish but when you go into a restaurant and point at a picture you should be able to get that. I ordered one thing and got another. When I was almost finished eating the woman comes over to see how it was and I told her it wasn’t what I wanted. She says we don’t have the other dish, only the one I gave you. So? You said that very clearly, why didn’t you tell me that before? I will not be back or recommend this place at all. She asked how it tastes, I said it’s ok. That was being very generous, it was very bland.

My family is Salvadorean but they’re all in the south. This place has some pretty great pupusas. I was surprised to find anything close to authentic, so I highly recommend to pupusas and tamales de elote. Remember to get cash first!.
