Service was excellent from the bright and bubbly Acacia. She made the meal even better!
Love the decor here. Also love watching the staff…they’re like a well-oiled machine. Great team!
Enjoyed the flight of beers to taste. I had the beef tips that were excellent and so tender. House salad to round out my meal.
Despite the rude hostess, our server, Zach, was very polite and attentive. His personality was so completely opposite of that of the hostess, it made our dining experience much nicer than our initial experience walking into the restaurant.
Our food was hot and tasty and after a week in temperatures that never exceeded -35 F, it hit the spot. I would dine at this Brewster’s location again, maybe next time the hostess will be in a better mood.
Atmosphere & Vibe
Brewsters leans into classic American comfort food territory with a relaxed, welcoming environment that suits everything from a laid-back lunch to an easy dinner with friends or family. Locals and visitors alike appreciate the casual, unpretentious feel — it’s a place you can drop into without fuss.
️ Food & Drink
The menu offers a solid variety of dishes:
Burgers — often cited as some of the best in Fairbanks and a local favorite.
Halibut tacos, fish & chips, and other seafood (when available) that many diners praise for freshness and flavor.
Sandwiches, wraps, and comfort staples that deliver satisfying portions and dependable quality.
The garlic mashed potatoes is the only reason the food got a rating of 2 instead of a 1… they are excellent.
The ribs were scary upon arrival because the amount of sauce slathered on them. I ordered meat not a bottle of sauce, but hey if you can’t cook good then try covering it with sauce is obviously some peoples decision. I pulled a rib bone and lifted the whole rack of ribs off the plate and told my girlfriend this isn’t a good sign. We ate all we could handle of it before I needed a drink to wash it down but my glass was empty and had been since the food was delivered, we stacked the dishes to signal we were done, paid the bill and left quietly. The bad part is, we were wanting to try their shakes for dessert, if the rest of the meal had gone well.
I must add, I am from Texas and hold meat cooking to a higher standard than some others do.
