Reviews
Forget everything you thought you knew about strip mall dining, because Brews Taphouse in Chandler is here to prove that fantastic food and even better vibes can be found right next to a dry cleaner. This place isn’t just a small bar; it’s a culinary hug with a great attitude!
The Dream Team: Palmer & Vanessa
Seriously, give Palmer and Vanessa a raise. They weren’t just servers/bartenders; they were the absolute joy of the evening! They delivered great service, sure, but it was their genuine positivity and sparkling personality that truly made the night. They kept the energy up without being overbearing—a tricky balance they nailed perfectly!
Sidekick Superstars: Tater Tots & Onion Rings
Let’s talk sides. First, the sweet potato tater tots were excellent. Crispy, sweet, savory—the perfect upgrade to a classic. But the real MVP? The onion rings! These aren’t your freezer-aisle specials; they are beer-battered in-house and served in a glorious mountain that practically warrants its own zip code. You get a TON, and they are the perfect crunchy companion to the main event…
The Main Event: The Bourbon Trail Burger
I dove headfirst into the Bourbon Trail burger, and all I can say is WOW. It was utterly amazing and perfectly cooked. My only regret? Not being a professional competitive eater. This monster of a sandwich was so loaded and glorious that I had to surrender my hands and opt for the civilized route: the knife and fork burger method. If you’re looking for a burger that challenges you in the best way possible, this is it!
The Vibe Check: Just Right
For a spot tucked away in a strip mall, the environment is surprisingly wonderful. It has just enough lively background noise to feel fun and social, but it was perfectly pitched so that my mother, who’s hard of hearing, could actually enjoy the conversation without straining. That, my friends, is the mark of a truly thoughtful establishment.
Bottom line: Go to Brews Taphouse! You’ll leave with a full belly, a happy heart, and a new appreciation for the simple brilliance of house-made beer-battered onion rings.
This is a cozy spot that is pretty laid back. I ordered the Balboa burger, sweet potato tots, and pretzel and cheese. They were generous portion sizes. Everything was yummy!! I absolutely loved the pretzel.
The burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the PB&J burger, and it was delicious. The jam was really impressive. It has just the right amount of spice to sweetness ratio. We also ordered the O.G, which was their classic burger. It was equally as good. We tried both the sweet potato tots as well as the french fries. Both were really good, so you can really go wrong with whatever sounds good.
Overall, it was a great place for burgers and beer, and the service was great. We would definitely come back again.
Balboa and bourbon burgers are both delicious. We added the pin sauce and jalapeno BBQ to them and it kicked it up a notch. The Balboa is like a gourmet Philly cheasteak, and the bourbon is crispy and tasty but needed the jalapeno BBQ. Fries were not crispy which I’m fine with, they were great with a bit of salt pepper and ketchup. Onion rings were crispy and tasted good.
We will come back and try more apps.
Prices are very fair, service was personal and friendly.
It’s in a strip shop so it’s small. But I love the honey vibe. Great for eat in or takeout.
Highly recommend you give it a shot if you like burgers.
It’s a pretty small establishment. When it’s busy, just know you will be waiting for a while for a table. If you go with a group, you will most likely be eating outside. Most of the seating inside is for the bar area with the exception of 3 tables.
Overall, my family had a good experience. It’s a bummer on the limited seating available, though it seemed they only had 2 servers working all the sections.
