It was the Kent Blues Festival. Service was great. I was able to be 10 feet from Mr. Wallace Coleman , legendary harmonica Blues man. Look him up and you will see why I am so fortunate to have seen him perform.

A lot of people are giving Brew a negative rating because of its its music and college town feel. That is literally the point of the bar. If you don’t like the bar for it’s designated purpose then just don’t go. It is a dance or party bar and it’s a lot of fun. Sold music and good DJs.

I have only visited this place few times and all my visits were disappointing when I left the night. The music is not hype enough to dance; not to mention the place is super small and crammed with drunk college students. The drinks were alright but I would not go there again if you are under 21.

There was a beer bar and dance place close to here called The Kove in the 1960’s. In a cellar. So much fun with high school buddies and girls. Live bands. Beer. And dancing. And Kent State GIRLS!

Because this place let’s in 18 years old it will be full of only 18 year olds and creepy older guys trying to hit on 18 year olds. Drinks are overpriced and now very good, if you are 21 just go to literally any other bar.

This place is so loud I can hear it up the street, it’s currently 1 am…. most definitely in violation of Kent City Noise Ordinace 509.12 sections b (2,3), c and d. Will be reporting, owner please close your doors during operation or turn it down.
