Some of the best BBQ that I’ve had in a while! I’ve been here a handful of times now. Pork Ribs, Brisket & Sausage are always on point! The tacos are good too! Every side they have is delicious! These people know how to BBQ! Definitely my go to spot.

still as good as the first time. The brisket was perfect. Tried the Boudin and it was fantastic as well cooked just right with great flavor. The loaded potato salad was still on point. Love this truck.

This new bbq wagon is fantastic. Don’t even need a sauce. The pork ribs were perfectly cooked and had perfect flavor. The brisket was moist and had a nice bark. The brisket beans are a meal in themselves. I could eat them alone. They are full of brisket chips. The smoked mack and cheese is well done as well. What make it a home run is that not only is the bbq awesome its lite on the pocket for bbq. If your in Rockdale stop by and try it out. They also have a selection of hand crafted sausages.

Pretty good BBQ. Ribs are great. Brisket is tender and moist. I’m a bit picky on sausage and the jalapeno cheddar is ok – not bad but just not my cup of tea. Slaw has cilantro which I did not care for so just a heads up there if you do not like cilantro. Street corn is good. Great staff and environment.

Some of the best bbq I’ve had sitting at a picnic table, outside. This place makes it feel like your at a picnic but the meat is the best in state. The brisket, ribs, and sausage are mouthwatering delicious. Worth the drive if you don’t live in the area. Sides of corn and greenbeans are passable. The owner even came by our table and asked our opinion. Will definitely be back again.

Brett’s Backyard BBQ is one of the best BBQ joints in the country. I have had great BBQ all over the nation and this place always ranks high in my book. If you’re a brisket fan, this is the spot, if you’re looking for delicious sides, this is the place. If you want to be personally greeted by the owner and serenaded by great music on a warm summer day, you found your spot. The employees are some of the best people around and the food is unmatched. Got here at 10:45…1st in line! Got the 5 meat 3 sides sampler since it was our 1st time here. Outstanding bbq. Brisket was the best ever. The turkey and chicken were tasty also. Got a 1/4 lb of pork belly that was really good. The kicker was the peach glazed baby back ribs…WOW. You have to try these when you come. Sides were great. My only small quibble was the Nutter Butter banana pudding. Tasted great but no bananas in the mix. But best ever bbq hands down. To me, this place should have been Texas Monthly’s Number 1. Maybe next year
