I visited on a Sunday afternoon and was thoroughly satisfied! The service and staff were excellent. The food was tasty with generous portions. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, the steak sandwich, and the Pollo empanada with jugo de chinola. I can’t wait to return. I especially appreciated that my request for well-toasted bread was fulfilled something I often struggle to get at other restaurants. I plan to come back with my parents. This place is definitely 100% worth your time and money. Thank you!

Very delicious and fresh Cuban food. The grits were absolutely out of this world. We asked how they made them with such a sweetness and they told us that that’s how they taste using fresh corn! A must try!! Great hash browns, rooa vieja as well. We left happy and full and will be back!

Stumbled on this place when going to Publix. Perfect hidden spot! Only hesitate to share my experience is because it is soo good! Made me feel like I was visiting my cuban Grandparents in Miami. Got there about 11:00 and I bought the last of the croquettes and pastries in the case. Can’t wait to go back and actually sit to eat.

I usually don’t post reviews, but this place was absolutely fantastic. My family and I were traveling through the area and randomly stopped in for breakfast. The staff was super kind and helpful and the portions were huge! The Americano breakfast plate and guava pastry (not pictured because I ate the delicious thing immediately ) blew me away. The home fries are a must have! Will definitely be back when in the area again.

**A Five-Star Gem: Breakfast in Havana **

I don’t usually write reviews as often as I should, but this experience moved me to share. From the moment I walked into *Breakfast in Havana*, I was greeted with the warmest, most radiant smile—one that instantly made me feel welcome and at ease.

I asked for recommendations, and they paired me with the perfect breakfast. I also ordered a Cuban coffee, which was just as incredible as the meal itself. The empanadas were a delicious bonus, and when the food arrived, I was genuinely amazed. The portions were generous, the flavors were phenomenal, and the value was outstanding.

But what truly sets this place apart is the heart behind it. Rebecca and her mother—the owners—are the soul of this restaurant. Their kindness, hospitality, and genuine warmth created an experience that felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home than dining out. After my meal, they took the time to share stories about their home country, Cuba, and made me feel like part of their extended family.

Having just moved here from California, I can honestly say this was one of the most memorable and meaningful meals I’ve had. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying their Cuban sandwich, which I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about.

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by *Breakfast in Havana*. Support this incredible mother-daughter team—you’ll leave with a full belly, a warm heart, and a new favorite spot.

The food here is amazing!!! I loved the cuban sausage breakfast dish. The grits were my favorite in that dish because it was slightly sweet and very corn flavored (like corn soup)! I love corn so it tasted great to me. The sausage and eggs were wonderful too, perfectly cooked and delicious. While I was ordering, the lady at the front was wearing a Blackpink Lisa shirt. I told her that I liked the shirt and somehow, we started talking about BTS and it was so nice chatting with her! Will definitely be coming back here soon.

Here is an expanded, polished version that keeps the same sentiment but adds depth and detail:
This is a truly authentic Cuban café in every sense of the word. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Havana—no trip to Miami required. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of character, with the unmistakable charm of a family-owned neighborhood spot where everyone is treated like a regular.
The coffee alone is worth a visit. Pair it with one of their empanadas, and you have the perfect combination—flaky, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
You can tell the owners and staff take pride in what they do, and that pride shows in the quality of the food, the consistency, and the friendly service. It feels like the kind of café that becomes part of your routine, not just a stop along the way.
If I lived a little closer, I would absolutely make this my daily coffee spot. It’s rare to find a place that feels this genuine and this good at the same time. Do yourself a favor: stop in, grab a coffee, and don’t leave without an empanada.
