My waitress was super nice, I appreciate how quick and kind she was.
Raspberry French toast was very very delicious, I highly recommend. Breakfast potatoes were not for me. They had Gouda, onion and peppers on them. She gave the option of with or without the toppings, next time I will say without.

I met Tiffany today. I was having a bad day as soon as she brought me to table she gave me a hug I felt so loved and welcomed by her kindness and understanding as she sat at my table and helped me turn my day around. I’ve never experienced anything like that before and I thank God for her.
I am beyond grateful for her kindness she showed to me

The food was amazing. I had the raspberry French toast. It was perfectly made. The drizzle of raspberry and cream cheese was on point. Looking forward to eating here again on my next trip to Michigan.

Good for large quantity breakfast with quality ingredients. The red skin potatoes are second to few and second to none in the area.

Gets crowded on weekends

On a Wednesday at noon not very busy. All the tables are really close to each other which would have been fine if the food didn’t come out horrible. The blueberry pancake was super raw in the middle. I asked for dry sourdough toast and crispy hashbrowns with my country fried steak. The toast was covered in butter and the hashbrowns looked like they were scooped from a bowl of oil. At that point I lost all faith. The waitress was nice I know it wasn’t all her fault but paying attention to detail like the toast and hashbrowns before you take them to the table could have prevented the breakfast from being a total disaster. The only way the owner can fix things like this is if they know about it. Now they know. Portage Location. I was having a fine day when I got there. I was sitting playing chess minding my own business. When I sent the raw pancake back I think that was giving them a chance to make up for it by getting the rest of the breakfast right. 1st raw pancake then the burden is on me to give you another chance to re-cook the breakfast? I’m sorry but if you can’t get things right after the first misstep I’m not taking ownership of your restaurants decision to send that food out. Furthermore to shift things on to me having a bad day says a lot about your taking any responsibility or holding your staff accountable. No reason for another chance there.

Oh, WOW! This place is amazing. The “Lumberjack” Breakfast is great. Lots of food for a decent price. I normally do NOT give 5 stars across the board but this place gets 5 stars across the board. Very impressed.

This was so delicious!! I went with my grandma and I’m so happy. The service was so amazing. We had Abby, and she was super great. She answered any questions i had and gave us as much time we needed. The whole place is super cool and there always something to look at! Prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get, I reccomed this place!

I decided to try this place after a doctor visit. The 2 ladies I interacted with were very pleasant.
I ordered a basic egg, meat, potato & toast dish. There was a generous amount of hashbrowns, but my eggs were not cooked properly. I liked that my toast was just toasted on the buttered side.
The meal was tasty. I will return & try something different next time.

I have been dying to try this place since I moved here a couple of years ago. Well, I finally found the time to come here yesterday and I left thoroughly disappointed. I completely understand having long wait times for food when it is busy, especially in these times where it seems like staff is hard to find. However, it seemed a bit excessive, especially when the table next to us (table of 2) came in 20 minutes after we had ordered (table of 3), ordered 10 minutes after they arrived, and STILL got their food 5 minutes before us. Then, when my food came out, it was clear they had forgotten about us. I ordered the fiesta scramble. My dish came out with the potatoes so burnt, all you could taste was the charr. My chorizo was missing, the onions and green peppers were raw. All I could eat was one egg and my toast. To make matters worse, our waiter wasn’t able to come over to check on how the food was tasting and we couldn’t flag him down. Finally, when he did come to check on us, I told him my dish was burnt. He offered to have it made again, but after already spending almost two hours there we were ready to leave, so I said no thank you. All he could offer after that was sorry. There was no meal compensation at all… for a $15 dish. Very disappointed, I would not recommend this restaurant.

I had high hopes for this place. We ordered several items from the menu to give a fair assessment. Each one was disappointing. The biscuits and gravy was an epic fail. The biscuits were dry and crumbly, the gravy didn’t have any discernable sausage and was bland, there was a scattering of chicken pieces on top, and the dish was delivered cold. The lobster bennie contained very little lobster and what was there was chewy. The muffin was overky thick without enough sauce. The waffles were clearly made with pancake batter and tasted like really thick pancakes. The shrimp and grits was the best we tasted there but even the grits were overcooked (somewhat slimy) and under seasoned. This diner is marketed as an upscake breakfast eatery (at least according to the prices) but each dish missed the mark and therefore was not worth the price of admission. I will say that the staff was friendly and professional. Unless you’re ordering a very basic breakfast I would skip this place. Actually you’d be more satisfied going to your local, cheap neighborhood diner.
