I was so reluctant to trying this place because it was always packed but after eating there, now I see why. The food is 10/10. We’ve gotten pancakes, omelettes, pastries, quiches and they’ve all been amazing every time. The matcha was also amazing! The food is high quality and I would say pretty reasonably priced compared to other breakfast places. The service is also top tier, from the cashiers to the service staff, all are always super friendly. It’s a great place to eat on a weekday you’re working remotely or on a weekend with the family… It is the only breakfast place in pittsboro with that much variety of food!

This place has a lot going for it. First and foremost, the food is excellent. It boasts a bright, open, and inviting atmosphere, complemented by consistently friendly staff. Parking is usually easy, and the outdoor seating is a nice touch. However, the one glaring issue is the efficiency of service. Upon entering, you’re immediately greeted by a long line—often exceeding the number of seated guests—which stems from a highly inefficient ordering process. Customers pile up at the front door, waiting in line for over 20 minutes just to place their orders, and then another 20 minutes for their food. This wasteful system is the biggest drawback and discourages repeat visits. To the owners: you’ve done a fantastic job overall, but the ordering process must be overhauled. Implement QR codes on tables so patrons can easily scan and order from their phones. Eliminating the front-door line—especially during winter—will transform this from a good place into a great one. Fix this, and this place will truly be five stars across the board.

Great food, coffee, service, and vibes. The patio is great for those that have dogs with them. Every dish we have ever had here has been fantastic. The vegetables and ingredients are always fresh, and the preparation is always well done.

The menu at Breakaway features many healthy and tasty options for both lunch and dinner. It’s a great semi-fast casual dining option with a coffee bar and beers on tap.

It would earn a 5-star rating except the furniture is getting a bit old (stained) and on my last two visits the bathrooms were both filthy and without toilet paper or paper towels. I suspect they are only cleaned nightly.

I forget about this place but I’m definitely adding them into my rotation. Breakfast was delicious – everything fresh. My favorite was the delicious matcha latte. It was a work of art and delicious.

We are only giving this 4 stars because of the wait but honestly it was worth the wait! We got there around 9:45 and the line to order moved fairly quickly. Almost all of the inside tables were full but there was some bar seating available and the whole patio was open but it was a little too cool this morning. By the time we left they had posted a sign they were suspending food orders for 30 minutes to catch up and would resume by 11am.

The food made up for it. I’m a stickler for coffee and boy was I more than happy with a plain drip today and I really appreciated that they had simple syrup available at the self service station. My fiance got a mocha that they spared no expense on chocolate! His breakfast burrito looked incredible and he had no complaints and loved the potatoes. I got the Cali Benedict and oh man was it absolutely worth it! Not only did they swap the English muffin for GF toast but it was overflowing with avocado, not stingy at all!

A good ambiance for a relaxing lunch with a friend. Bright, fun place, nice staff. Good menu, both healthy and fun options. I had the steak sandwich with fries. The fries were great, I liked the sandwich but thought it was a little light on the steak. Overall a good lunch option (with parking).

The food was DELICIOUS! The wait staff was friendly, prompt and gave a great recommendation on our two dinners. This was a first time for my wife and I. We will be back. Oh, don’t forget to treat yourself to dessert!
