Everything we have ever gotten here is delicious. We particularly love the blueberry and wild rice bread and the cardamom bread. The owner is always friendly and welcoming. We always make it a point to stop here when we are in town.

We stopped to by supermarket donuts and saw this little bakery instead and are we glad. The cinnamon rolls, apple fritters and almond croissants were superior laminated masterpieces. We also purchased ham and gruyere cheese croissants for later and found they were one of the best road lunches we have had in quite a while. Not to mention their baking music.. French jazz! Only wish we lived closer.

We got recommended this bakery by locals and are very impressed with their bread. We got french baguettes and ended up stopping back for more. Good prices and very friendly staff! Definitely recommend!

Excellent bakery in Hancock, the only from-scratch bakery in the area. Delicious fresh-baked goods. Best cheese Danish ever! Bread Loafers has been added to our list of regular stops during every visit to the Keweenaw.

It’s nice to have a mom and pop bakery, the owner is very nice. I wish there would be more selection of bakery meaning more sweets, with the crappy economy, I noticed the price went up, it’s not his shop, it’s everywhere. The government killed the farmlands, the farmlands should be given to the Amish people, they know how to farm and produce good crops, long ago prices of food used to be cheap and plentiful, with the government destroyed the farmlands, farmlands are getting smaller. And the cost of food is very expensive.

Just what I was looking for! The croissants are delightful, flaky, and very well made.

I also got a loaf of egg bread topped with sesame seeds that I haven’t tried yet, but it looks and smells great. They even offered to slice it for me. The owner was kind and personable. I will definitely will be back!

My partner was nice enough to get us treats for breakfast this morning. Ham and cheese croissants are AMAZING! Definitely check this place out if you haven’t. We will be back for bread and more croissants.

Totally on point. Everything is fresh and well done, served up with a smile. Hate to throw shade at other local institutions, cause you know I like a cheap donut as much as the next person, but the pastries here are on another level from the popular stuff across the canal . So glad this place exists.
