Bread Basket on 8 mile and the one located on Middlebelt in Livonia has seen me for the LAST TIME! I spent close to $50 including tip and received this NASTY FATTY Reuben on Sunday 11/16/2025. The owner said they’re under NEW MANAGEMENT. Well, the quality of the meat is NOT good, the cuts are DISGUSTINGLY FATTY and the man had the AUDACITY to say that I can pay extra for lean!!! In my years going to both spots, I have NEVER paid extra for lean.
After paying about $25 per sandwich, it should be PERFECT! Instead, the quality tastes like it’s a CHEAPER/LOWER GRADE piece of meat, and the customer service is INSULTING! He wanted me to bring the food back same day or he would so graciously give me 10% off on my next visit. WHAT????
I ended up throwing the sandwich away. I’ll go get my own corned beef and for $50, I can get a nice cut with onion rolls, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut and have a few nice sandwiches.
This is how restaurants that USED TO BE GOOD, END UP GOING OUT OF BUSINESS! DO BETTER! I’ve been coming to BB for about 10 years. They have LOST ME, and I will encourage others to go elsewhere. Your business/loyalty is NOT appreciated here. The NEW OWNERSHIP SUCKS!!!!

The food is great and the customer service is wonderful. I prefer this location above all others! The sandwiches are awesome, tender and tasty. Pricey but good. If in the area, please give them a try.

First and foremost we loved the atmosphere when we walked in. It had a very cute and cozy feeling, almost like an old Ma and Pops diner.. We were instantly greeted upon entry. The woman serving us was very polite and offered us many different options and add ons. We also received a sample of their very delicious soups while we waited which we then proceeded to purchase.The staff was great, very efficient. We got our food and I must say we were very impressed! The corned beef was very juicy, the coleslaw made a great topping, as well as their corned beef egg rolls! To d!e for. Thanks Bread basket!

4 sandwiches and 80.00 later which is VERY overpriced and when I say dry and had 0 taste they were that. This isn’t the same corn beef I ate years ago typically I buy my own and cook at home. I think thats best. the carrot cake was delicious. Very nice staff and pleasant environment.

I absolutely love the new owners and the dedication and effort they have put into making this establishment better. The Livonia store alone is so much cleaner, organized, and functional.
The food is the best of the best. A1 corned beef over ALL others. I highly recommend the corned beef or turkey reuben!!!

Bread Basket Deli is absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the corned beef and pastrami sandwich, and it was hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The meat was perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and stacked generously on fresh bread. Everything tasted top quality and made with care.

03/07/2025 Called at 7:59 pm was told by a male employee I could not place an call in order wow on a Friday night because it was to late i said fine, I arrived at 8:18pm not one single car in the parking lot Also,the guy that answered the phone says something pretty peculiar he said, what I make them good.Don’t I i’m lost at this point I haven’t even ordered, but I said I’m hungry. Let me proceed. My response was, are you making my sandwich? Which he insisted he was i spent roughly $70 plus dollars i ordered 2 corned beef 1 on rye the other on Onion roll 1 jason’s & 1bb’s special it took approximately 6 minutes to make these sandwiches. 2 were warm cheese, barely melted. Meat kind of funky mostly fat the other 2 sandwiches were straight up cold cheese meat and bread. I couldn’t believe it also mostly fat. I called to complain. He laughed at me and hung up the phone the food was horrible. The customer service was worst not sure of the guy’s name, but he needs to be fired.

Been coming here for years! Heather is the best. She is very kind and patient . Always gets my order correct. The 17 1/2 is my favorite. Delicious coleslaw and corn beef.

Been going to Bread my whole life! Go there just for the corned beef sandwiches Dr Browns Soda & cheese . Couple weeks ago I walked in some girl took my order & the guy behind me. As I sat down to eat. The lady brought the gentleman & I some sample soup . Never knew bread basket even made soups! Chicken cheese enchilada it was. Decided to see what all the hype was about as my family told me this place is it for corn beef.
My first time visiting this past Wednesday evening and the service was astounding. The young blonde lady at the counter was wonderful, so poilte, and helpful.
I order a pounder combo and it was nothing less than what I expected. 5 stars.

Bread Basket and Deli is a hidden gem. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The sandwiches are generous, the bread is excellent, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Great spot for a quick bite or takeout—definitely coming back.
