We went up to buy a chocolate bar a bit ago and the cashier threw it down. I was worried it would break. She actively seemed grumpy the entire time and huffed at us every time we tried asking questions about the store or the products. Not good customer service at all
EDIT: to respond to the manager, yes, I’m sure I have the right place. I wrote this review while I was standing outside the store. It was a special Valentine’s Day thing that you guys had out. I used to go here a lot that’s is how I know I have the right place, have not gone since.

I love going to the Bread Basket because the people there are so kind and helpful. They provide you service with a sincere smile. I love their fresh made bread and the fact that they’ll slice it for you if you so desire. Whether you go in there to grab a sweet treat, spices, soup mix, popcorn, deli meat, and/or a tasty sandwich, you can never go wrong. Be sure to visit there, it will be a trip worth taking!

I’m a little confused by some of the reviews — there’s good stuff here, but the value varies greatly. The pies (and hand-pies) are light on fruit and heavy on corn starch like a hostess pie from a gas station rather than one from a market in PA, but they’re reasonably priced. The meats are the same you’ll find at the Kroger deli up the road, and you’ll be paying $14+/quart for the homestead ice cream. There are some nice PA-dutch finds like birch beer, and the staff was very nice when I was there.
