This restaurant has a great menu full of fresh choices that you won’t find in Galena. I loved the bistro vibe and the service was fantastic. If you don’t want anything heavy like pizza or bar food while in Galena, I highly recommend this place. We were so full we didn’t get dessert but it all looked amazing.

The food here is amazing! We sat at the bar area and every dish that came out of the kitchen looked delicious! I highly recommend the goat cheese and pear salad! The waitstaff was fast and on the ball. The bathroom was clean. This place gets packed, so I recommend coming early.

Eat there with my wife the other day and had the French hotdog. 100% the best hotdog I’ve ever eaten. Owner and entire staff are wonderful. It’s a must eat at if you should ever stop by the area.

The Bread & Vine was delicious. The martinis were wonderful, along with our service. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the seating. The seating was made up of small tables and chairs with a booth across the back. Very quaint looking. When you get bodies on all those chairs you are practically sitting with the other people at their table as well. I am not sure if this is how it is done in France. France can keep it over there. I like my space.
My overall impression is good food and great martinis. I will go back only at a different time when we aren’t packed in so tightly.

My friend and I chose this restaurant because they had shrimp tacos. Not only were the tacos delicious, but the atmosphere was relaxed and the man who served us was very kind. He was patient and offered to take our picture. We took our desserts to go and they were a divine bedtime treat. The next time we vacation in Galena, we will be back.
Update: We returned on 8/27 and weren’t disappointed! Our waiter was friendly and even split our drink in half since we aren’t big drinkers.

We spent yesterday in Galena celebrating my birthday, and I was surprised to find that not many places were open for lunch on a Monday. I came across Bread and Vine and immediately knew it would be the perfect spot—and it absolutely was!
Everything was amazing. The latte was excellent, the lobster mac and cheese was truly delightful, and of course we had to finish with dessert (zero regrets).
A special shoutout to our server, David—he was outstanding. He read the room perfectly, answered questions thoughtfully, and was just genuinely great at his job, which made the experience even better.
I would definitely recommend Bread and Vine to anyone visiting Galena.

Great food and even better service. Our waiter, Loch was very accommodating with food restrictions and made us some delicious mocktails! Food was so good the first night, we went back for more the next day. The chocolate chip cookie croissant and the macrons are a must!

We’ve eaten at Bread & Vine dozens of times at this point, and it’s been fantastic each time. I’m a big fan of the French Hot Dog and the Croque Monsieur. If you have a group or a big appetite, the poutine is delicious. The pinsas are also quite good, and our kids rave about the desserts (we do too).
The servers and cooks do a great job – it’s quick, it’s pleasant, it’s fun. And it’s delicious every time. If you’re in Galena, make sure to stop by Bread & Vine.

My husband and I eat here almost every time we go to Galena. Food is always good. Made with high quality ingredients. Service is always great! Best lunch place in town and a quiet option for dinner.
