Local family-friendly Texas-style taqueria with large covered patio in Charlottesville, Virginia’s Barracks Road neighborhood. Brazos voted C-ville Weekly’s Best Tacos 2024 and every year since 2015. Scratch kitchen serving up all-day breakfast tacos, tacos, burritos, and more with extensive vegetarian and vegan options. Super kid & dog friendly with outdoor kids area. Full bar with margaritas, margarita flights, beers, and pitchers of mimosas, and wine. Full service breakfast and coffee shop with espresso and matcha open 8am 7 days a week. Brunch every Saturday and Sunday. For special occasions feel free to call for reservations – we accept them but just don’t offer them online.

I ordered the chicken quesabirria. Franko was our server, I think that was his name, and he was very sweet! The restaurant was a little empty, which was nice. It’s cute. The food tasted good, but I probably should have gotten a regular quesadilla since it wasn’t quite what I expected. The salsa and chips were good too.

Food is plain terrible, Jesus Christ this place has no flavor, you eat here and think it’s good you might not even have taste buds, as someone who’s been around tex mex and Mexican food this place is missing a lot of the spices and cooking methods of any kitchen that does Mexican or Tex mex food, chipotle tastes better and that’s not a good thing.

I was in town to sty for just a night when i stopped in to have dinner! Ordered tacos and a frozen margarita both were delicious! The bartender was the most nicest person ever and gave me the hour prices even though it ended after 5 minutes! I would definitely come back again!

Great place to try unique taco offerings. I tried the pork star with pork belly with watermelon. It was delish and well executed. I also had a brisket taco that was ok. I do not recommend the guacamole or the salsa. The guac was house made but the flavor off but the salsa was definitely premade. Meal does not come with chips and salsa either. 2 tacos with the chips and guacamole and salsa was $24. The waitress was very sweet and helpful and offered quick service.

I went a couple weeks ago and my server Sydney was amazing and super sweet!! I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos and they were so delicious, Sydney did the very best job helping me pick out what to order! I can’t recommend this place enough! What a wonderful experience with such joyous service!

The new location is up and running..no alcohol until mid-May ..very satisfying food. The lemon lime drink went well with the spicy tacos…3 hot sauces offered..the pickled jalapenos were just too hot for me! The pinto beans were delicious .highly recommended.

Really one star is to much for this place. Service was so slow it took 20mins just to get a water. Cold Charro beans, unflavored carnitas, and unseasoned eggs. Mashed potatoes tasted instant. Overall the food was horrible. I won’t even talk about how awful my wife’s food was. Food took forever and the whole place just seemed disorganized and no one had a clue what was going on. I would not recommend nor will I ever be back. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner of this establishment.

Wide variety of tasty tacos and other dishes like soup, salad, and even waffles. Healthy fresh food and pretty much everything is or can be made gluten free. Lots of space for kids to play/be and my kids would eat off the kids menu for every meal if they could.
