I was excited to try new Italian, until I took a bite. I ordered eggplant parmesean and a side of angel hair pasta. The eggplant was grilled with a burnt flavor, and the sauce was very bland. I will not be back here. It is not worth the $43 I spent, and I am leaving hungry because I couldn’t eat the burnt flavor.
The waiter tried to accommodate but said it came in to the restaurant that way. I left a 2 for service because the restaurant was empty and it took forever to get a refill on my drink. I left him 20%+, even though he wasn’t even friendly or attentive.
The atmosphere is nice.

Absolutely perfect in every way! I was in the area for an open mic night and randomly found this place a few days ago. I stopped in just before closing to get a late night espresso and was very excited to come back and try the food.
It is my birthday today and I came here for a treat. I started with the Diavala Pizza and had the lasagna for my main course and finished with the tiramisu. I worked at an authentic Italian restaurant in Colorado for many years and because of that I am very particular about my Italian food. Braza Brava was spot on with every detail. The pizza crust was just as it should be. Very high-quality ingredients. I love the Calabrese! The mozzarella had the perfect amount of moisture and great texture. Even the waiter Herman was from Italy lol. He was very attentive and did a great job. This is my new favorite place to eat in San Antonio.

Found this place with high reviews. Came in and at first we thought they must be closing, because they did not seem pleased that we walked in. Upon checking they did not close for another hour and a half. Got a seat right away. Please looked great, music was nice and the table and seats were very comfortable. The waiter arrived and again it seemed like he was very put out that we were even there. Ordered our drinks and they came quick. The bread that came out before the meal was to die for!! Amazing! The place only had like 5 tables with patrons, but it was really tuff to get our waiter over for more drinks. Brought the food out, dropped it off at table and then disappeared again. Had to wait for him to show up again in order to ask for napkins, another drink and some more of that bread. He came by and acted like we were bothering him. Finally got done eating and ordered dessert. The tiramisu was very unflavored and quite disappointing. NOW, time to pay the bill and tip. Our waiter became Alive. Super friendly and inquisitive and even told a joke. The food was good to great, but the service was lackluster to say the least.

Atmosphere is very nice with a live pianist. We had the Margherita and Caccio e Peppe. Not sure if they don’t add the basil on the Margherita or they forgot it :/ also, pizza was a tad burnt but crust had good flavor. However, the pasta was delicious. Sunroom type dining space is beautiful although I doubt you would be able to hear the pianist. Overall great dining experience would return.

There were six of us! Everything was delicious. I had been here once before, and it didn’t disappoint me once again. The service was very good.

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant here in town. Saturday night has a live and very talented pianist and the staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. There is plenty of space and a large bar. The food is so delicious and fresh and the wine selection is marvelous. Its just a charming place and if you enjoy a more quiet Italian spot filled with life and good food and people, this is a lovely place.

We have been visiting Braza Brava for years and have found their pizzas to be one of the best in San Antonio! Their pasta dishes are also always on point! We decided on a couple of pizzas this visit keeping it simple: one margherita and one carnevale. Pizza ls were perfect! This place is great for families or for a nice date night! It can be a little dark so if that bothers you ask to sit in the more well lit area. This place always feels like home!

This is the go to northern Italian restaurant in town. Had the most amazing meal and a fabulous bottle of wine. Highly recommend this restaurant IF you are a fine dining type of person. The service was amazing (ask for Ian). They have 50% off wine on Monday and Tuesday. If you like wine these are your nights head there!
Will definitely be back!

My friend and I had a craving for authentic Italian/pizza tonight and decided to try Braza Brava. Hands down best Italian I’ve had in all of San Antonio.
Our server, Ian was personable and knowledgeable about the food. Atmosphere is reminiscent of a restaurant in Italy. Food presentations and flavor profiles are top notch.
For a starter we ordered the Roman Artichokes. They were exactly like artichokes should be. Full of flavor, served with fresh pesto, ricotta and roasted peppers.
As Monday and Tuesday are half price wine days we decided a nice bottle of Rock & Vine Cabernet would be a perfect compliment to dinner. We were not disappointed.
We ordered a Pizza Buffala and a traditional Margherita. Both were excellent. Cooked to perfection. The Margherita was the perfect balance of sauce and mozzarella.
Overall based on ambiance, service and food….i have found my go to Italian place. Bonus it’s less than two miles from home.
