We came in on a busy Thursday afternoon. Our food came out fast. Our fries were missing, but the friendly staff quickly brought us some. The only negative- the manager started screaming at the entire staff about being on “lockdown” and needing “everyone to be at the counter” due to how busy they were. Several tables in the restaurant were alarmed because she was screaming about “lockdown.” It was really bizarre and unprofessional. On the way out, we saw the manager clearly chewing out an employee. It made me wonder if this specific location may have a staffing issue because I certainly would not work under a manager who operates that way.

First let me say – have ALWAYS respected Braums and enjoyed their food. We Square Dance and as a group we were so excited Braums was coming to Abilene. UNFORTUNATELY – the last few visits they have been filthy. I took a few pictures to prove. The servers were also filthy. Looked as if they had been having a food fight. As yummy as the banana split was it has made us very hesitant to come back.

The food is good. The atmosphere is nice. It’s a very clean restaurant. The people behind the counter are very nice but we had an employee in the dining room was a little offputting. Didn’t understand what Customer Service is. I received a shake without a lid so I asked for one instead of offering to bring me one. He told me you have to go to the counter and get one because they’re kept behind the counter. OK I started working fast food at 14. You show a little more kindness and respect toward your customers. yes they can get up and walk up there but it’s nice of you to offer. Yes, I’m old-fashioned but yes, I believe you’re getting paid and you treat people better. He did however keep the dining room very clean. Thank you for that.

My husband, sister-in-law, and I were in Abilene staying with our uncle in the hospital. We were very excited to see there was a Braum’s ice-cream so close to the hospital. We got burgers, fries, and shakes for all 4 of us and the price was really great. But let me say that the service and quality of food was even better. We took all the food up to the hospital room and just had a little party together. It did us all good to have something a little different to eat after 4 days of “hospital ” food. Although, Abilene medical center North is a great place to get well. Thanks Braum’s

Why don’t we have one in California? I visited this one in Abilene, TX during December 2025 and it was awesome. Drive through was available but we went inside and enjoyed burger combos with the free shake upgrades. So goooood!

I’d give no stars if I could still review….the management is terrible there (especially today)and no one seems to ever get my order right. They all just seem to stand around with bad attitudes the whole time and act like they are high when I have to repeat myself. I am seriously disappointed that my neighborhood braum’s cant even give credible customer service and then lack the intelligence or at least decency to hear what we ordered. I am never eating at this location ever again..get some professional people who know how to work at a food place and not give such ugly experiences to their customers. I am absolutely disgusted.

This place is ridiculous. I brought myself my wife and 6 kids in after a football game to celebrate with ice cream. We stood at the counter for over 20 minutes and watched their very young staff wait on 4 people on another register that came in after us and avoided us for the whole time until I said something. Management here needs to be present and experienced and get these young kids under control on how to operate a business. Until I get an apology from Braums corporate brother myself nor any other member of our team will revisit this place!!!

Customer service is horrible. Food was pretty good but it doesn’t make up for the rude workers. I watched a woman stand in front of the ice cream for 5-7 minutes before someone decided to help her. I noticed because I was waiting to order food for the same amount of time while 4 young kids behind the counter talked and gossiped and didn’t even acknowledge us. Horrible and unacceptable service!
