We went out for coffee today. Before sitting down, we asked the waitress if we could sit wherever it was convenient for us, and she said yes.
When we went to sit down, she chased us away and told us to sit only at a specific table.
Then we ordered coffee, which was brought to us in dirty cups. The coffee was very bitter, and even two spoons of sugar didn’t save it — and I had ordered a latte.
The desserts were stale and dry. We paid €41 and were left very dissatisfied. The service was unpleasant.

The service was very fast and aboslutely adorable ! The tartare de bœuf was absolutely delicious, but my favorite part was the desert : the mousse au chocolat was delectable and the ambiance was very romantic, and the space is charming !

This was the perfect place for a nice early evening dinner. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. the restaurant is beautifully decorated in its pure Geneva environment. The food was amazing and so delicious. If you are visiting in Geneva, great place to check out for a nice meal. They also have a beautifully shaded patio.

RUDE STAFF & TERRIBLE SERVICE – DO NOT GO HERE!
I live in the neighbourhood & pass by every day. I stopped going years ago as the staff & service were appalling! I was passing by recently & decided to have a drink since it has new owners. Well it’s safe to say that the service is still appalling & the staff as rude as ever!
I sat on the terrace beside the door in full view of the bar, Eva the waitress saw me but made no move to come serve me. 4 customers inside & 4 on the terrace & Eva came & closed the door right beside my table, but continued to ignore me.
After 10 mins I went inside & ordered a drink from her. When she delivered it to my table she rudely said to me, “when I’m doing my set up I can’t serve the terrace, so that’s why I was waiting for you to come inside to order”. I replied that she should have made a sign instead of ignoring a customer! To which she rolled her eyes & walked away! Two other customers sat on the terrace & after 15 mins of nobody coming to serve them, they left!
Eaux Vives is full of lovely bars, cafes & restaurants with lovely staff & terraces, so no need to frequent an establishment that treats customers so appalling! Basic manners & basic customer service is the very least to expect, unfortunately both are very much lacking here.
