Bone marrow appetizer was so rich and fatty! I love the combination with extra toasted toast and bacon bites. Everything bites melted in my mouth. The steak was cooked to my liking. The mashed potatoes could used a little more seasoning, salt. The salmon was moist and paired perfectly with thick cream sauce. The lobster roll was rich and delicious good. The Mac n cheese was ever thick and creamy in the cheese sauce. Brownie with vanilla ices cream was served fresh.

Wonderful atmosphere, sitting right next to the fireplace and enjoying the scene. We started with appetizers of the Korean Fried Cauliflower and the Crab and Artichoke skillet. Both were fantastic. Afterwards I got the flank steak salad; the presentation was beautiful and the flavor was just as good. I highly recommend this place, everything is done well and the ambiance is great.

My husband and I just wanted to thank the new owners our good friend Selim Scs and Ana Cordova Salas for our beautiful sunset, rooftop, candle light dinner they had for us last night. It was truly magical. The service was great the food was to dye for. The champagne and the views…. Amazing! Thank you for making our 25th anniversary unforgettable.

Not the best experience to start a reservation for 10 or more is $100 and charged to your card soon after. Stated at reservation that it was 19 different people and split check was needed, assured that was fine. Check came and had to talk to the manager to get our check split for our group of 19 people, food separate and drinks all on one check. The beer flight was a plus as there are 6 choices, however not that many choices of beer to choose from. A variety of food options, from poutine (pretty tasty) to fish tacos.

I have never had a more personal conversation about my drink preference. He was wrong in all the right ways. I had a night of discoveyr. His piecing eyes stared right into my my face. He should get a promotion for all the ladies he must bring in surely. He is the best Kade I have. Ever met. He said his name was Kade thank you Kade. I will be back for him because he has great teeth. The first with spicy ketchup whas just alright. But Kade has great bone structure and a smoothe and masculin voice. I want his teeth!

I have to agree with what others are saying about the strange vibes in here. The two waitresses were tasked with seating and serving which didn’t seem to work out at all. It was 10 minutes before we were seated in a nearly empty dining room and 10 more minutes before anyone took our drink orders. Felt quite disorganized.
I ordered the linguine with guanciale special and it was honestly terrible. The guanciale pieces were like hard cartilage and the flavor of the pasta was just…off. Won’t be back.

Pretty sure the waitresses knew I was going to stuff my face with the food here lol. Ordered the mac n cheese, chicken and waffles, and the brownie sundae— left extremely satisfied!

Under new management, this rustic brasserie is a must-visit destination for food lovers and craft beer enthusiasts alike. Recently renovated, the space now features a stunning rooftop patio — perfect for enjoying their impressive micro brew selection while taking in the fresh air and views. Inside, old-world European comfort dishes and American classics are given new life, prepared with the same reverence as their beer. The warm, inviting ambiance and attentive service make it a standout choice for casual nights out or special gatherings.

We sampled an incredible spread, starting with bone marrow canoes that were silky, savory perfection, followed by crispy wings, golden fries, and artisan pizza fresh from the oven. The tacos were bursting with flavor, but the highlight was the Southern Flame board — tender picaña, rich Argentinian steak, and smoky blood sausage paired with fried yuca, bright chimichurri, and fiery llajua sauce. With every bite complemented by one of their expertly crafted micro brews, this brasserie proves that its blend of rustic soul and culinary artistry makes it a must-visit destination in town.

I’ve been coming to Brasserie Saint James for a while because the floor staff and bartenders are truly some of the best in Midtown—hardworking, professional, and always welcoming. However, lately, you can really feel a shift in the atmosphere. It seems like the management/ownership is completely out of touch with the team. It’s a shame to see such a talented group of people working under what clearly feels like high-stress or poor leadership. I’ll keep coming back for the staff, but I hope ownership starts treating their people with the respect they deserve before they lose the very thing that makes this place work.
