Overall it’s a great restaurant.
The menu has been revamped and is supervised by two-star Michelin chef from Tokyo.
There is high-level restaurant in hotel French dining.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

My third visit but first dinner at Rue d’Or.
A quiet Wednesday evening, attentive service from bilingual staff, very good example of high end hospitality skills. Very satisfied what they presented.
We took the 7.500 ¥ free flow course which is a steal, the quality and amount of food is amazing , definitely try the duck, so good ( and I personally don’t like duck usually, this one was excellent).
Accompanied by a small but sufficient beverage selection, sparkling for entrees, wine selection and even whiskey included, coffee with my ( pretty large ) crème brûlée.
I’ll be back for more in the future, well done

Very mid and rather obscenely priced given the quality of the food (we paid 55,000 JPY for two people including wine). Maybe this was an off night but our meat dishes came room-temperature and dry like they had been sitting for quite some time even though there were only five other dinners in the restaurant. The fish dishes came out at a better temperature but my fish was incredibly salty and the mussels were so small, sad and shriveled that I had to leave them on the plate. At this price range you just expect better. Bread, coffee and wine were good, and that’s about it.

We are staying at the St. Regis Osaka. We’d like to have a simpler dinner tonight, so we tried the 3-course French dinner at the hotel’s Rue d’Or restaurant on the first floor. We were surprised the simple dinner turned out to be kinda fine dining experience. The appetizers were tasty. The main courses were brilliant. The desserts were very impressive. Most importantly, you can trust the waiters. I took his advice to order duck confit as my main course. It was absolutely delicious.

A very well-priced french restaurant and the food was authentically french with high quality yet subtle flavor. The confit duck was slightly dry but the creme brûlée was beautiful – a must try dessert.

We did not enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and this is not the quality I would expect from a brand like St Regis. It is expensive for an average quality of food and the wine was not good. The only good dish was the chocolate fondant, though you get the same quality from Picard the French frozen food distributor. The service was ok, though the waiter did not fully understand English and despite showing him on the menu the wine I wanted I did not get what I ordered; he came back with the most expensive glass on the menu.

The food was good, the service was excellent and the price felt very fair for what we ate. The wait staff spoke good English and even made some recommendations which was nice. We went with the 4 course set menu which was an absolute steal 🙂

Delicious French pastry on the ground level of the St Regis Osaka. Nice place to sit and enjoy a quick cup of coffee.
