Went for dine downtown. Very nice restaurant. Service was a bit off. Our waiter had to be reminded to serve us. He was more focussed on a bigger table. And they asked us to move mid meal. Nice place. Dinner was tasty. Desert was incredibly small cream puff. Would probably go again.make sure I get a different waiter.

Continuing our series of Happy at Happy Hour! We made a stop at the Cafe last week for a little get together before the Christmas holiday. Chris welcomed us in and was the highlight of our visit. Also of note, of course, was the food! Those fries got a second order and the burger melted in your mouth. The polenta fretes were stupid good. And the salad made us feel healthy. I barely took photos as we were enjoying ourselves so much. Not our first time here and it certainly won’t be our last.

My favorite place in Sacramento to bring a date I want to impress. Very classy, elegant setup. Friendly, cheerful service. Top notch food and presentation. Also good for, as tonight, treating oneself on a “solo date”. I’ve never left not perfectly happy. Would recommend to anyone and I’ll be back!

Dessert Review
First, let’s talk about the interior—it felt like stepping into a charming Parisian café. From the rich red velvet curtains to the delicate flowers adorning each table, every detail was thoughtfully done. The ambiance was warm and romantic, made even better by the quiet atmosphere. No crowds, no chaos—just a peaceful, intimate experience.
Our waiter was incredibly attentive and seated us in a cozy little nook right by a large window. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the vibe. Honestly, it felt like a hidden gem.
Now for the desserts:
The Pot de Crème (chocolate) was absolutely divine—smooth, rich, and decadent. A must-try.
The Napoleon was just okay—visually beautiful, but it didn’t quite deliver the same wow factor.
All in all, it is a lovely spot with ambiance and dessert to match. Highly recommend for a quiet evening or romantic date night.

Great experience! The food was amazing with a very thorough wine list to compliment. You can tell the chefs take great care in providing a meal that is both delicious and decedent. We were also pleasantly surprised at the size of the portions. The duck pate was amazing, as was the burrata (paired with perfectly ripe peaches and tomatoes). Scallops and pork chop for the entree continued to exceed our expectations. We also got dessert (no pic) which was ginger cheesecake and the taste and texture were 10/10. The service was good but nothing to write home about. The free garage parking is a huge plus! Looking forward to coming back!

I’ve been here twice now and both times I’ve had phenomenal service. They are so kind have taken good care of me without me even asking or complaining. The food is 5/5 as well I haven’t had anything here yet that I haven’t devoured. All of my friends also loved their meals. It was my first time trying the croqueue monsier and it was so crispy and flavorful! The breakfast potatoes are alright, they could’ve been more crispy but well seasoned. It’s a very cute French ambience on the inside and outdoor seating. Keep in mind if you go on a busy day, they only have a couple servers at most so you will have a little bit of a wait for your meals but with good company that shouldn’t be an issue. I cannot wait to come back when they add oysters to the menu!!

Had dinner here with a friend to check out their Vegan Chef Challenge items – everything was delicious! I was happy to hear that they are incorporating vegan items into their regular menu. The aspereges grillee du pay dish was incredible, as was the gnocchi. Extensive cocktail menu and the drinks we tried were wonderful. Very nice ambience with thoughtful decor and art. Very professional wait staff. Also a perk, Brasserie Du Monde has their own parking beneath the building. I look forward to returning.

The menu online is different than the menu in restaurant. I had high expectations for the French onion soup but it ended up being just all right. For Dinner I hade the Cassoulet and it was Delicious!! My day had the salmon in risotto which was also very good. All in all we had a good night and most likely will be returning in the future.

Food is good although I like my food temperature hot. Presentation is good and portions were ok. The onion soup was mostly bread with little broth. I prefer my deviled eggs on the colder side rather than warm. Chef was accommodating. I ordered the salmon Benedict with the English muffins on the side. That was delicious. Service was attentive. The downside was the French scramble eggs. It was hard scrambled instead.

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. I was expecting to savor a delicious French meal but what disappointment. I ordered the salmon fricasse. The salmon was tasteless as well as the fricasse. The French fries were the only ones that taste good.
